Man. It's tough to sort my feelings re: Destiny2 ending its updates. I never really found that feeling of belonging in the community that everyone else is talking about, but D2 has been present for so long it's strange to see it fizzle out so unceremoniously.

I can understand theyve been struggling to keep people interested after the Portal™️ and the dialed up grind but it sucks the story won't get a chance to have it's planned conclusion. Xivu, Maya sundaresh/conductor, that Lodi guy, the nine, lord of every nothing, the new gambling vex guys, so much potential story is being lost here. They'll probably do the best they can but there's a good chance most of these will stay "unfinished" in a way.

I dont have anyone wanting to play with me so it'll probably remain uninstalled, but on the other hand I'm glad theyre at least trying to complete the more exciting changes (SRL!!) before putting this installment to rest.

When they make a new Destiny game (lets be real this thing makes too much money to truly die) I hope to the traveller/the light/atheons toes that they have the planning and foresight to not repeat the whole vaulting thing, bc that alone obliterated the game and bungies reputation. It also made the story delivery hilariously bad for new/not-up-to-date players. Yes yes they said it was to save space and what not but to me that was always a weaksauce excuse; how does literally every other long-running live service/mmo type game exist fine without it.
