Snow took a moment. “I was buried pretty deep under ground, and when the Cluster broke its arm out to help destroy the Diamond’s ships after they tried to dig it out, my gem was freed from being entombed there.” she explained. “I used to be one of Pink Diamond’s gems… and I’m actually older than Pearl.” she chuckled a little bit. She looked at Lapis. “Yeah, I’ve been a Crystal Gem since the rebellion.” she kinda shrugged, since she hadn’t been able to see most of that time.

Lapis’ eyes widened for a different reason.  Was this gem trapped, too?  Maybe she was lying, but...Lapis couldn’t help but sympathize with someone who had apparently been in situation so similar to her own.  “Wow.  I mean, I was trapped in a mirror, but I guess...at least I got to see things.  Sometimes.  Mostly it was just the same view unless someone took me somewhere.  But...you seem so calm.  Aren’t you upset over what happened?”

The newly-reformed Lapis was quick to pull her friend into a hug.  “I’m not sure what I expected.  You...You really beat them?  But how?”

Snowflake Obsidian, or Snow as she liked to be called for short, had somehow been shaken loose from the ground during all the fighting and healed while Lapis was still poofed. She’d been caught up on everything in that time and even learned about what happened to Pink Diamond. It was hard for her, She had been trapped too. Buried deep in the ground and unable to free herself for the last nearly 5,500 years.

She was worried about the two gems that were still waiting to reform after all the fighting was over, and insisted to watch over them until they were reformed. She hadn’t expected the blue one to reform first, and when she saw her fully reform she was looking at Lapis with a mix of confusion and relief. “H-Hey. Nice to meet you…. uh Lapis right? My name is Snowflake Obsidian. Or Snow… that’s what everyone else calls me.” she greeted once she was sure the other was ok.

(it was tagged “open to all” for a reason ^^)

Lapis’ eyes widened at the sound of the unfamiliar voice, and she turned to face the source.  Okay, so something else had changed.  How had she not noticed this stranger before?  Maybe she was simply too focused on making sure she hadn’t been trapped, and that the Earth was still here.

“...Yes?”  She looked at the other gem with suspicion, which wasn’t eased even when she noticed the star. "Are you...a Crystal Gem?  Why haven’t I seen you before?”  She shifted to the side, shielding Peridot’s gem without thinking about it or even realizing she was doing it.
