Backstory
Euclides grew up in Córdoba together with his twin brother. They were inseparable and did everything together except when their father trained his oldest brother to be the next alpha of the pack while he trained alone to take the place of the second in command.
That was until their father died in the woods under mysterious circumstances. His twin brother claimed their father died protecting him from something, from a monster, but Euclides didn't know what to believe. Six years had passed. The pack used to be very tight, and very close to each other, but resentment grew within them after the loss of their original alpha, while Euclides never held any resentment towards his brother because of what happened, the loss of their father and the accession of his oldest brother was too much to handle and he ran away to a different pack in Athos unknowing of how their birth pack was going to treat his brother or that his brother would move out of Córdoba eventually in fear of whatever happened with their father.
In Athos, he was no one in the pack, just another alpha. His father’s position as an alpha of a pack didn’t mean anything here so, for once, he felt normal and happy, unaware of the struggles his brother was going through with his new position. Had he known he would’ve moved to support his brother as best as he could and maybe even prevent a massacre. To this day, he doesn’t forgive himself for abandoning his twin to his luck thinking his pack would accept him with open arms.
Athos was a great village. It was so unlike Córdoba that he struggled to get used to the change but he did eventually and he leads a normal life detached from his brother but missing him dearly. However, since his brother had moved towns without telling him he never knew where to find him.
He became a caregiver soon after joining the Sabre pack at the age of 23. Four years later he met his first love and had his first child, whose now 12. His mate died giving birth, however, and he was left alone to take care of their child. Being a caregiver that gave him a chance to do things right, and gave him the experience he needed.

Euclides was a gentle man in nature, he had gotten even gentler since the birth of his pup and the death of his mate. He had to, nothing good came from having a firm hand with a baby after all. That gentle nature helped with his current job too, taking care of other's pups and reassuring them they were perfectly safe with him. The kids love him too and some try to pull one over him but he was far smarter than them to let that happen.
So, when it came to moving someone he could be awkward about it. Enter Cassius being on his way. Euclides, instead of asking him to move he, instead, grabbed him by the waist gently and moved him out of the way. "Sorry," he apologized realizing too late what he had done was too intimate.
It was raining outside, pouring and thundering, when he opened the door. The knock on his door had been unexpected under this weather. At the door was Alystair. He stood aside then as Athena ate in the dining room. "Come on! What are you doing in this rain! Athena, bring me a towel and some of my clean clothes for him, please, darling."
"Yes, daddy," she said standing up and running to his room to gather the clothes and the towel.
Once Alystair was inside, he closed the door behind him. "Are you hungry? I usually prepare enough for two days, so you can have some."
He was on children's duty today. That meant that he would have lunch with them and that also meant paying more attention to the kids than to his own meal, sometimes he skipped eating altogether which his daughter didn’t like. Athena was a very responsible young girl, he was proud of her, and if it weren’t for her he would be doing a whole lot of things wrong just because it was easier but she didn’t let him so he had come up with solutions for it. He tried to eat fast instead during children's duty to get some food into himself or, some other times, he waited to eat after lunch so while he ate a little later he still ate. Given how he sometimes skipped breakfast, he couldn’t always skip lunch as well and he didn’t want Athena to worry about him. It should be his duty as the father to worry about her instead.
He needed to arrange the meals for the kids today. He had a list of things some kids would absolutely refuse to eat in his hand and walked towards the kitchen to speak to the cooks. He entered the building and looked around, spotting a kitchen hand he had seen several times before, he went straight to him. Ethan was his name if he wasn’t mistaken and given how he managed many kids a day, he was good at remembering one’s names by now.
“Hey, I’m here for the children's lunch for the day? Just making sure everything is in order before we bring them over in an hour,” Euclides greets and tells him once he’s been addressed, a smile on his face. “I have a list from our picky eaters if that helps,” he adds tilting his head a bit with a certain curiosity. He had seen the man and maybe even talked to him once or twice before but couldn’t actually remember. He has been in Athos for so long that it happened, one forgot things and it was normal. “My name is Euclides, you’ll often see me with a 12-year-old shadowing me everywhere I go,” he says in greetings.
The Dining Hall | Sitting with Euclides @theotherhalfofhim
A few minutes past noon and Hardin’s stomach was growling for sustenance. He was quick to get in line and fill his bowl with some kind of stew that smelled like delicious meat and thyme. He didn’t waste time in finding a seat, spotting Euclides having a vacant seat across from him. The Alpha was one of the few he felt comfortable being around since arriving recently in Athos. His kind and gentle nature put him at ease and he was glad they ran in the same pack.
“Good afternoon, Euclides,” he smiled as he took a seat. He wasn’t great at making small talk so he dove right into the stew despite it being pipping hot. “Shit, that’s hot,” he cursed under his breath and took a sip of water. “Working today?” he asked the alpha, deciding to be more attentive.
He didn't sit with people often, sometimes people just sat with him and had conversations and sometimes they didn't. He had learned to accept that. It was part of life but he wasn't the type to chase friends around, either they wanted him or not and he usually was wanted. He did his best to be kind, as kind with adults as he was with the children. Today he was sitting alone, eating slowly, when someone sat across from him. He lifted his eyes and smiled at Hardin.
"Yes, you have to eat it slowly and blow on it from time to time," he tells him with a chuckle because it reminds him of the kids really. "Yes, as usual. Kids won't take care of themselves and I wouldn't have anything better to do. Besides, I get to spend time with Athenas. She's helpful with younger kids too, I'm proud of her. How about you? I'm guessing you also will be working?"
"y'know what they say, breakfast's the most important meal of the day." silas said with a little chuckle in his voice. the same line he'd repeated to his pups years back when they were little & way too eager to run off to training every morning. only that euclides wasn't his pup, so he didn't push the matter & ate by himself. he glanced up, a little surprised, when the other spoke again. what? date? uhhhhhh, he didn't... date... alphas... or did he? how the fuck should he know anymore?
"sure, yeah." a date with the kids, though? hm. okay. now silas wasn't an expert at dating - or anything relationship-related, really, but he thought he knew how dates went - in theory. "you'll have to tell me where." silas didn't frequent alpha-cabins. or anywhere... near alphas. except he did, now, get drunk brave enough to sleep with them. he didn't think he actually wanted a relationship - or anything.. like this, but euclides was nice & having food together wouldn't up them to mate right away, right?
"My cabin or yours, whichever you prefer." He replied looking around to make sure he had everything he had brought with him last night him his person. Then he turned to Silas and smiled, the man was good company and he still smelled so nice. He approached and gave him a kiss on the cheek and stole a piece of his food just to tease him.
"Are you allergic to something? Anything you don't like and I should avoid cooking?" He asked then, a hand on the back of his waist, and Euclides sitting close to him. He was a man that was tender and charismatic but also very affectionate all the time and not only before or after sex, it was part of his kind nature. It was nice to be with someone, to go on a date. Even if this didn't work out they could still be friends.

Song: Bad Romance by Lady Gaga
"Don't you understand? I want your love, I want your drama and the touch of your hand. You and me could write a bad romance! But who cares?! Let them talk." Whoever said Euclides was good at flirting certainly hadn't seen him now. The alpha sucked at flirting, at romance in general, and Cassius wasn't...he wasn't a person who liked alphas, but he was trying anyways.
"My daughter would love you and am sure you would love her. Athena, she helps me in the nursery where I work." He tries further. "You know that I want you, and you know that I need you. I want it bad."
"I do have a few kids," he answered as he looked at the male and smiled. Sven did not care much about his kids he had especially the ones that presented as omegas. All he cared about were producing powerful alphas who would carry his bloodline and produce kids of their own. He smiled and listened to the male as he looked at them. "Only the handsome one and you are handsome," he answered with a wink as he leaned forward.
"Looks like you could use more distraction later tonight. What do you say?" he asked voice charming and sweet.
He couldn't believe his ears. Another alpha was actually flirting with him. He wasn't very experienced with other men but liked them, all the same, he liked women, he wouldn't mind giving Sven a chance though he had a feeling he knew him from somewhere. He had lived in this village since its start so it made sense but there were so many faces it was hard to remember some of them even if they were as handsome as this one.
"Alright. Let me arrange my daughter's stay with a friend. Do you know which one is my cabin?"
