The loud hissing sound coming from your crotch catches you by surprise. You spread your legs and look down to see a distinct wet spot blossoming between your legs.
I smile comfortingly as you look up at me, paci tucked between your lips, a look of horror in your eyes.
"What's wrong, sweet pea? Did your little potty accident scare you?"
"I... uh... I..." You stammer out in response.
I walk over and wrap an arm around you.
"Silly baby, wetting your diaper shouldn't have surprised you! It's not like you haven't done it a thousand times before, you goose!" I coo.
Tears start to form in your eyes as you look at me in disbelief and concern.
"But, Papa, you don't understand, I didn't feel it! It was a real accident!" The horror of losing control of your body starts to settle in and you bury your face in my chest.
I run my fingers through your hair and kiss the top of your head, a warm feeling in my chest growing as I realize just how far you have come and how far you have fallen in my care.
"Shush, baby, shush, it's all right, Papa's got you. Papa's got you forever," I whisper soothingly as I hold you in my arms.
And what I said is true, I have you, and I always will have you. Because, with this step, there is no going back now. You will forever be nothing more than Papa's big baby. And that's ok.
