âbestiary?â Scott types out laboriously, trying not to smirk even if Stiles canât see it. It just feels disrespectful. âdont you mean bestiality?â
He was about forty percent sure bestiary wasnât even a word.
He frowns softly, looking at Stilesâ face and then the computerâs display before slowly typing out, 'i dont think i even know what a poltergeist is but if youre asking if im dangerous i dont think i am. i try not to be.â
Stiles stares at the word on his laptop, the cursor blinking at the end of the sentence and he just. Stares, for a moment longer before snorting a laugh. âNo, no I definitely donât mean bestiality buddy. Itâs a book, keeps track of supernatural creatures and stuff.â
Heâs proud of the fact that he manages to keep a fairly straight face despite the question, even if it caught him off guard.
His expression goes a bit more serious, eyebrows pinching in a furrow and Stiles hums, mildly. âItâs like. A spirit that causes a ruckus usually, y'know. Throwing stuff around, making a lot of loud noises. Theyâre usually pretty mischievous bastards.â

Scott blinks down at the computer, then back up at Stiles, confused but a little unwilling to press the matter even just because of that one small laugh Stiles does offer.
Instead, he continues on with; 'oh well that sounds like it would be helpful. the book not the ruckus spirit. i try not to be a ruckus but i did fold your laundry a couple of times when you forgot to.'
