Eventually, Parvis’ arm goes up to scratch the back of his neck. “How...long did she say she’d be?”

  Deep breaths. He could do this. He was a man of restraint. “Around an hour.”

  “Right.”

  Parvis’ voice was oddly strained, a slight raspiness to it. He had to squint in the lack of light, but a noticeable pink blush was blooming on his cheeks. The confined space and Parvis’ taller height made it easy for Strife to put two and two together, as he glanced to see where a noticeable bulge in Parvis’ jeans brushed where his middle stuck out.
