I have felt embarrassed by my CPTSD, And there are days when all I do is sleep. The hours I devote to trauma-focused CBT Are nuances of my life that others don't see.

Even in a comfortable, cottage-style home I worked hard to have for my own, I still cry. It's easy to feel misunderstood, a little alone, When flashbacks and nightmares re-emerge, But I'll never give up, living a life full of love.
