Hey I'm Des💜

I'm a writer on and off for over 10 years. Originally wrote a bunch for Overwatch in 2016 and here I am back again in 2023.

Option 2: They get into contact with the Iris and Gerard's spirit is there and asks Reaper if he's helped Amelie and it's really awkward

Hanzo deserves it. And there’s a small, selfish, twisted part of him that enjoys the idea that his Ghost could be Genji — in a way, it means he has his brother back.

About Lifeweaver’s Arm

So this Summer Games spray that just released shows Niran with 2 organic arms.

In the childhood picture from his origin story, we see that he already has the metal “arm”.

So…is it actually a glove?

Looking up close at the shoulder area, it DOES seem like it’s strapped on. This is as opposed to Symmetra’s, which replaces her entire shoulder.

Of course, it’s possible his arm could have been amputated/removed lower than Sym’s for whatever reason. Or maybe Sym lost her arm in another way, so she had to have a specially modded one. Orrr maybe she “upgraded” over the years. Blizzard has never really acknowledged that part of her lore, so we don’t know.

Niran’s fingers have multiple joints, but it also looks like there might be something between those joints. This is in contrast to Sym’s hand, where the joints have spaces between the parts that imply there most likely aren’t organic fingers underneath.

It’s a weird choice imo… one of my favorite things about Vishkar’s dystopian nightmare lore was the idea that Architechs are so brutally efficient that it’s just expected they’ll remove parts of their body to stay competitive.

Of note, in his Summer Games spray he also lacks some of his other enhancements, like the little white attachments in his chest and the metal plates in his feet and ankles (though he maintains his skull mods). So it’s possible the artist either forgot those other mods, or made a weird stylistic choice to not include them.

@kidatash interesting! I had thought briefly about that when I first made this post, because of how the gold part of the arm looks like a whole separate thing from the upper part with the straps. 🤔

from this interaction with Mercy I hear when I play LW I always assumed he at least had a prosthetic hand, and well I'm assuming lower arm from his design.

His hand def looks like it's metal jointed as in there's no flesh there, it's all prosthetic to me. Except in his cleric skin where it does look like a glove, but then ofc non-canon and a glove fits that bc ~*cleric magic uwu*~
