I really didn’t want to leave, honestly. I don’t think the girls wanted to either. Yeah, you’re right. I’ve just always had a hard time falling back in step with people, I guess.

Well, we would be, but Jackie's been out of town on SHIELD business for a while. I'm hoping the scales are tipping in my favor. I don't actually know if she has any in mind. But yeah, Blake's excited. I think a little nervous too.

Oh, I’m so happy for her! Well, be sure to let me know when the shower is, I’ll drab my sisters and we’ll all come along. I’ll bring Chloe along, too, she enjoys sophisticated parties. But does she know what she’s having? That must be so exciting.

Did, you really? How did you like it? But yes, it’s absolutely breathtaking. Oh, I’m sure he did, I feel bad, I’ve been too busy to keep in contact lately.

I'll for sure tell you! You're all definitely invited. Yeah, she's having a little girl. I think she should name her Elizabeth but I don't think she's listening to my suggestions.

I loved it! The people, the culture, the music, the food. But they didn't really sell Twizzlers and it was never home. That's alright, I think everyone falls out of touch once in a while. It's a part of life.

That sounds amazing! How is she doing? She’s about ready to pop, right? I’m sure dad’s excited for that one, he’ll have one more to add to his brood of adoptive kids.

I went and did some lessons abroad. I have to say, French boys are gorgeous, but they did make me miss Brendan.

She's doing great. Practically glowing at this point. I think she's really excited too. It's a completely different side to her. If you'd met her in college, you wouldn't expect to see her this happy about having a family. 

Ah, you went to Europe?! Isn't it beautiful there? I spent a few years there myself, but I know what you mean about missing people. And I'm sure Brendan missed you too.

Okay, so before you say anything else, I need you to know that I love you. And I can’t imagine how hard these past few months have been for you, but I’m sorry. I’m so sorry for all of it. For putting you through that pain, for not listening to Jackie, for breaking your heart, which is the last thing I would have ever wanted to do. And even if I didn’t break it, I’m sure there was a small crack in there and I’m sorry. I wish I could take it all away, but I can’t and I’m here now. I’m here to make up for all of that and to tell you how much I love you.
