The flower stems of Phygelius capensis (Cape figwort, Cape fuchsia) were coming over and through the railings of this front garden. This vigorous semi-evergreen small shrub or herbaceous perennial needs a sunny location and fertile soil, the plant may need winter protection (usually as a mulch).
