i've been rewatching natsume's book of friends and its so important to me that natsume has two friends groups that let him be himself in different ways.

he has his classmates that allows him to be a normal kid who will occasionally point out something that isnt there, but they dont make a big deal out of not being able to see it. and every time he points something out, they always ask "where?"

then he has tanuma and taki where he can act accordingly in response to youkai. they notice when he sees something, and they ask him about it, trying to understand just what it is that he's seeing. they let him not have to worry about looking weird or seeming strange.

anyway this is just something that makes me really happy :)

Guys, Cales group has no fucking clue what his ancient powers do.

I mean, they have an idea, but some of them it’s out the window.

They all know he has a healing power. Well, maybe not all of them, because he’s never gone around publicizing it-

But the few that do know, know that it stopped him from blowing up when his powers were imbalanced, so it’s pretty impressive

But they don’t know the extent of the healing. I mean, it’s really confusing when your commander coughs up blood while he has a power that’s actively healing him. It’s like, damn is it selective healing or something?

But that makes Cales information about it even worse, because Cale knows he could grow back a few limbs, that he can go without food, water, and sleep for like 3 weeks, but those aren’t things that come to mind when you think about a healing power

If someone tells me: healing power- I’m not going to assume that includes not sleeping and feeling fine. Hell, I wouldn’t even assume limb regeneration, that’s strong as hell!

But when he’s coughing up blood, that doesn’t automatically equate to healing.

His shield ancient power. It can grow trees for some reason?? Or maybe that’s just a whole different power entirely, they just don’t fucking know-

Also what does his water ancient power do? He had that one power a while ago where he was just generating water, but now, he has a water spear. That’s the same power, right? Or no? Maybe it’s 3, we’ll never know

The wind ancient power, he can create whirlwinds with that, but can it do something else? Probably, we don’t know, every other power seems to have 2 or more uses-

The fire ancient power, holy shit it’s just lightning- and why can it purify dead mana? It’s like “dead mana is very dangerous, and can only be purified by priests from the church of the sun god, dark elves, necromancers, and this random ass ancient power that gets stronger from burning money” LIKE HUH?!!??!

But that just adds to Cale’s image, like omg he can destroy dead mana, he’s so amazing

But then you think about it and it’s like “wtf do his powers even do”

Like does he have to talk to the wind to use his powers or something? Cause he does that sometimes, and we don’t fucking know

What about his rock ancient power? What even is that?! That’s literally just artillery- it’s a thousand stone spears, that is terrifying. And then it’s just like “wait what do you mean it asks Cale if he wants to sacrifice himself” and “WHY DOES CALE SAY YES???? WHAT THE FU-”

They’re just guessing at this point, and if one day, Cale says “I can kill god” everyone will just nod like “yup, that checks out”

This scene made me realize something I should have far too long ago.

The real reason Kim Dokja wanted to be Yoo Jonghyuk so bad in his youth was not because Yoo Jonghyuk's escapades and feats in WOS gave Dokja the strength to endure the torment at the hands of his bullies, like Jonghyuk did with the Constellations. While it was part of the reason, there was something else bigger they both had in common.

Both Kim Dokja and Yoo Jonghyuk have lost their lives for the sake of other people's entertainment. Kim Dokja with his mother's book and Yoo Jonghyuk with the Star Stream. But while Yoo Jonghyuk continued fighting for everything he lost for over centuries worth of lives, Kim Dokja squandered his life away trying to fly under the radar and protect himself from those prying into his life.

The Fourth Wall's censor works in a way that it makes Kim Dokja look exceedingly average and easy to forget. The censor works like this because this was exactly what Dokja wished for the most before the Scenarios started. He wanted his life back and it would only be possible if he was entirely forgotten altogether.

The Scenarios were, in a way, a new start for both Dokja and Jonghyuk. It was at this point that Dokja finally felt like he was in control, despite all the danger and death, and he finally has the power he's always needed to right the wrongs in his life. Kim Dokja takes the narrative into his own hands and he works so hard to write better ending for it, because he finally has a chance at saving Yoo Jonghyuk. And in saving Yoo Jonghyuk, he finds his own salvation and is freed from the shackles his mother placed on him.

And yet the more painful thing is the story isnt even entirely accurate, and is instead a sort of fix-it fic his mother wrote for his sake.

Orv is so good, like actually it’s SOOO good. Its a story about stories, like literally in a watsonian sense on a meta level…like a story about a story that LOVES it’s readers and a story about a story that loves people… and how EVERY story deserves to exist, because every story has an audience that would benefit from reading it. and how stories can save people but people also save stories, just by them reading it. And how even if a story just has one reader, it’s worth it. But also like in a watsonian sense because the characters are being broadcasted to the constellations, and ‘stories’ are how you get power, and the worst thing that can happen to you is being forgotten. It’s definitely not a book for everyone. I think if you're not someone who can resonate with kim dokja’s story, with his life, you will not finish/like the book. And it’s LONG too. 551 chapters in it’s entirety, though in the end there are 30 or so chapters that are labeled as ‘Epiloges’, but i dont think they’re epiloges in the normal sense of the word. In orv the ‘■■’, or ‘the ending’ has a lot of importance.( -Because like I said earlier, orv is a story about stories, so what happens when a story ends?) But i really wish everyone could read it because its so good and i NEED someone to talk to about it. The story (the first 520 ish chapters) ends on a tragic/sad ending, but the epiloges have a hopeful ending. That kinda sounds bad, like “oh so it’s retconning its ending?” but its not, because the epiloges are a part of the main story. Like i said earlier, orv has an importance placed on the ■■. I think that the last 30 chapters are the chapters that just so happen to have ‘Epilogue’ in the title. Anyways ITS SO GOOD PLEASEEEE READ IT ITS SO GOOD!!!!

Personally I think the "Epilogues" are just the events that happened "After the Story Ends". It is what the characters decide to do after everything 'written' is already over. They create their own story, their "continuation" after the end, aka the epilogue. But they dont want it to end just like that (and hey, neither to we, the readers) so the "epilogue" became rather long ;w;

Sing Shong should release an open-world RPG game where we play as Yoo Jonghyuk in the 0th Round. At first it's just us controlling him to do common game actions and challenges but then as the game progresses, we begin to be able to communicate with him directly and influence the storyline. And then when the game ends with the Star Stream falling, YJH will ask us who we are and why we helped him and there will be an automated text saying, "I am the Demon King of Salvation."

Omg if KDJ is an unlockable character!!!!! Crap you have to earn coins right? And KDJ is a shop chara and he costs like 10000000000000000000000 coins and people would think he's a glitch or some gimmick to p2p (cause you max out coins in-game at around 100000 and oc you gotta use some for stats and items etc) but no. You get to keep the coins you have left every restart, you just cant use them even though they're in your inventory for some reason, and THAT is how you earn the coins to be able to purchase KDJ AND GET THE TRUE END!!!
