Can Cayde-6 Come Back? (Season of the Dawn)
Okay, with the Season of Dawn, lots of people are asking why Cayde-6 can't come back too. Here's why.
Saint-14 was trapped in the infinite forest, and we messed up the timeline specifically in the infinite forest. That's why he's coming back. Plus, it was already mentioned in the lore that we had created a paradox to bring back Saint-14. Alternatively, Cayde-6 was killed in the regular universe. He can't be brought back through time-travel. He can't come back as Cayde-7, since reboots were ways to wipe non-guardian exos so they could continue to live, not to revive them. Of course, technically Bungie can do whatever the fuck they want (it's their game after all), but they kind of made it clear if you paid attention that Saint-14 is coming back because of issues in the infinite forest, where he died.
Plus Cayde-6 coming back ruins the story arc of both Cayde-6 and Forsaken in general.
Sorry guys, but I really don't think he's coming back, and I honestly hope he doesn't, as it kind of runs the story and kind of undermines any choice Bungie can make lore-wise.
