Bullies couldnât stop this 8-year-old from growing out his hair for charityÂ
When Florida 8-year-old Christian McPhilamy became interested in cancer research after watching a commercial for St. Judeâs Childrenâs Research Hospital, he decided to do what he could to help those in need. In the absence of a fat checkbook, McPhilamy did the next best thing: He literally gave the hair off his head to those struggling with cancer and other conditions like alopecia. But the story wasnât as easy as that.
Putting your worth in the hands of others may work for some but for others itâs a dark lonely road. And for those lonely folk, remember⊠look up. You are made of the stars above, the space dust, the beautiful weirdness, the wonderment of the universe lives inside you. You are alive and breathing for a reason. Youâre worth as much as royalty, theyâre just people too. Love yourself, know youâre a part of this on going life force in this world and out of it, and you are important. You wouldnât exist otherwise. Remember, thatâs all you have to do.
Never compare yourself to someone you perceive as perfect
Whether thatâs Beyonce, or Rihanna, or a Kardashian, you are you and there is nothing wrong with you. You do not have to apologize or make excuses for anything you think you are or others tell you that you are not. You are good enough to:
wear that dress, those jeans, shoes, try that new hair style or crazy make-up, or go without make-up altogether
wear sexy lingerie
go to that event/school/get that job at that place/join that club
talk to that cute guy
Donât idolize a woman because of her beauty, wishing you looked like her. Admiring someoneâs beauty is one thing, hating yourself because you think you will never measure up is a waste of time, and you will attract people to you that sense that from you and will agree with your negative thoughts of yourself, and they will bring you even further down!
Remember - your looks are not who you are. Who you are is how you treat other people and what you do with your life. Concentrate on your gifts and what you are good at, whether thatâs singing, math, or being organized, whatever. Work hard to get good at the things you are good at and the rest will come in time. In the meantime, you will be enjoying yourself doing the things you are good at and attract people to you who enjoy the same things.Â
We are not the dirt we are planted in, we are the light and the water we nourish ourselves from. We are the flowers we choose to be.â

So take a deep breath. You donât need to have everything figured out yet.
I donât think you know what this post means to me right now.
Love this!!!!!
Thereâs so much bad news swirling around these days, that I thought itâd be nice to share a happy, feel good story. Itâs Friday and we want you to go home lifted. 4-year-old Calise Manning is going to help you do just that. Little Calise, from Kalamazoo, Michigan, is being called a hero after calling 911 operators when her pregnant mother was having a seizure. Centerria Manning, Caliseâs mother trained her daughter to call authorities if anything ever happened to her. And all of that was put to very good use last week when Centerria, who was 9-months pregnant, collapsed onto the floor, shaking. Instead of panicking, Calise sprang into action. In the 911 audio, obtained by CNN little Calise says, âMy mom is really pregnant and sheâs having a boy and she really needs help.â During the nearly seven-and-a-half minute call, she gave the dispatcher her name, her momâs age and address. It seems that even the dispatcher was impressed and asked Calise how old she was. She responded, âFour. Yes, and Iâm almost getting bigger.â Caliseâs quick thinking and excellent training that ultimately saved not only her motherâs life but the life of her younger brother. Two days later, Centerria gave birth to a healthy baby boy named TJ. Centerria, who has been training Calise since she was two, recounted the incident, âI got up and thatâs all I can remember. I woke up and my daughter Calise was standing over me and she was on the phone with 911âŠI was so proud of her because we practiced and I teach herâbecause Iâm an epilepticâ the address and my full name and things like that, and how to dial 911.â The 911 dispatcher suggested that Calise get some type of award for handling herself so well under pressure and saving her mother and brotherâs lives. Later that day Centerria said Calise looked down at her and said, âI told you I was going to take care of you if something happened.â
This is beautiful!
Woman Tattoos Her Own Face To Cover Scars, Starts Business To Help Other Burn Victims
This woman rose above the challenges of her own experience to help others in similar situations.

if I offered you $20, would you take it?
How about if I crumpled it up?
Stepped on it?
you would probably take it even though it was crumpled and stepped on it. Do you know why?
Because it is still $20, and its worth has not changed.
The same goes for you; if you have a bad day, or if something bad happens to you, you are not worthless.
if someone crumples you up or steps on you, your worth does not change. You are still just as valuable as you were before.
This time last year I was unemployed, broke, and suicidal.
Today, I just got the keys to my first house.
Give it time.
Needed this today
when you hear people preach that it gets better, they arenât joking. if itâs not better yet, it will be.Â
this post could literally be saving lives rn and that is why i love this website.
Dreams
He wouldnât have been pecked to death! Oh my god, this man was risking getting his arms, legs, ribs and possibly his skull broken!
Swans are actually ridiculously smart. As long the parent didnât see any evidence that the baby was hurting, it was probably cool with the rescue. The swan was probably more nervous than anything.Â
But the second you fuck up, you get fucked up. Because thatâs how swans roll.Â
I love how the dude is just like âcan you not? Iâm trying to save your babyâ.
You see the mama go over and check out whatâs going on, she even starts to get defensive. But as soon as she realizes that heâs doing no harm, she backs off. Yay swans <3
