Gypsy Waters ll 26 ll Ex-Ballerina/Ballet Teacher
The last thing the soft spoken Gypsy Webb was expected to do was raise her voice. She had always been the obedient, quiet pureblood daughter that her parents adored. After Hogwarts it was expected that she would quietly marry a man of their choosing and play housewife until the end of her life, however it certainly did not go that way. Within days of her graduation her parents informed her they were going to set up a marriage with a French suitor. A man five years her senior who wanted a pretty, young wife to spoil with his family's money. That was when the girl who was never thought to have a voice put down her foot. She demanded that the marriage would be called off and that she was to make her own decisions for the first time in her life.
Her parents were appalled, to say the least, it was completely out of the blue for their daughter to disobey any of their commands especially such an important one. However the anger and disgust soon were quelled when it came out that the reason that Gypsy did not want to be married to her suitor was because she was in love with another soft spoken pureblood. She only had eyes for Morris Waters.Ā
Thankfully her parents took that news well, grateful that she was at least smitten with a pureblood and one from an esteemed family at that. Sure he wasn't his brother Henry, but Gypsy was no Aurora Rose and after some thinking it was decided the pair would be allowed to continue a relationship. Two years later, at the age of nineteen, Gypsy Webb became Gypsy Waters on a quiet day in May in a ceremony that was far too understated and simple for her parents liking but right up Gypsy's alley.Ā
Along with her relationship with Morris, Gypsy also demanded that her parents listen to her pleas about what she wanted to do with her life. Ever since the age of two she had been dancing ballet. Her parents had always pushed it as a hobby rather than a livelihood but upon attending one of her performances they both agreed that she should be allowed, and encouraged, to take on a bigger role in the ballet. Happily for years Gypsy danced, until the age of 23 when torn ligaments in her knee forced her into retirement. It was hard but there were more important things at hand.
During her recovery Gypsy found that she would never be able to return to the ballet, even if her knee fully healed, her body would never be the same in a few months time. Seven months after that revelation Sophie Waters was born bringing light to Gypsy's world. It was funny that Gypsy never thought she would ever love another human being so much, even more than her own husband, but Sophie opened so many doors and brought so much happiness that Gypsy could not help but be enthralled by the little girl.Ā
After spending her first year with Sophie as a stay at home mum, Gypsy was offered a spot at a local dance company to teach ballet. It was an easy job teaching classes 3 days a week for just a few hours a day. Extra money was nice, thought not necessary, and most of all it gave her a way out of the house and a way to take Sophie with her while Morris worked. It was only a few months after that that Gypsy found herself pregnant once more. And merely four months ago Dalton came into her world creating her perfect little family of four.
If she hadn't spoken up all those years ago Gypsy knows her life would be drastically different. She wouldn't be teaching something she was passionate about. She wouldn't have her two perfect children. And most of all she wouldn't be married to the love of her life. Gypsy knows that she's lucky and never takes for granted the fact that something as simple as forcing herself to have a voice made every dream she'd ever had come true.Ā
