🐍Let's get a few things straight about snakes, for those of you who are still a bit closed off to them!🐍 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Snakes are NOT slimy! Yes, they are cold (being reptiles, this is to be expected) but they are not slimy. They are very smooth and soft and not the least bit wet, sticky, or slimy, unless they have decided to flop down in their water dish, (which they do, like the derps they are.) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Snakes are NOT mean! Any animal can be aggressive or mean if mistreated, absolutely, but I have never once been bitten or even struck at by either of my snakes and I handle them daily! As long as you are not mean to your snake, it won't be mean to you! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Snakes are NOT out to get you, they don't want to hurt you, and they are not anything to be afraid of! My ball python loves nothing more than sitting on my hand like this, getting warm, and watching me play video games or even read. He even likes to sit in my hoodie pocket to nap! All they really want is someplace safe and warm to nap and be lazy. If he's feeling active he likes to explore in blankets, which is the least threatening thing in the world. He has no sense of gravity and likes to flop around, fall off of things, and boop his face against just about anything he can reach. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Snakes, believe it or not, make wonderful pets. I love my snakes just as much as you love your dog or cat, I would be just as devastated if something happened to them, and give them just as much love and affection. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So before you judge someone, call their pet ugly or gross, think about how you would feel if someone did that to you!
