PSA to artists on DeviantArt

DeviantArt announced their own AI model that is to be trained on artworks ALREADY uploaded to the platform. You can opt your artworks out one by one, but by default they are included in the data set!!!

I'd recommend opting-out with all your artworks ASAP if you don't want to contribute and letting DeviantArt know you're not happy with their decision. You can read more here! In case you are unfamiliar with this topic or unsure of your stance, I'd recommend this video.

Race Against Time

part 3 of dumb sonic project, extras under cut

only 2 images this time. first is the little card, i played the mobile version of this game so i couldn’t take a picture of the card with the screen. the card says “sonic cd 3/9/21″, and has sonic and metal just chillin.

the screenshot is the end of the final boss. i tried to get the good ending by just destroying the machines in the past, but apparently you ALSO need the time stones from the bonus stages so  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ bad end it is i guess.

i’ve been taking pictures of the credits for these but the credits are just kind of a video so it didn’t really seem like “proof” that i beat the game to use that. i know no one cares or reads these but i’m taking april off of this project to focus on something else. i’ll be treating sonic 3 and sonic & knuckles as one game and will make one drawing for it in may, if i still feel like doing this project  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Meet Up

(part 2 of my sonic project i may or may not continue to follow through with. extras under the cut)

i’ve been making these little cards to show when i beat the games, but for sonic 1 i couldn’t put the card in frame in time for the picture, so i had both ready for this one.

the sonic 1 card says “12/22/20″, which is the date i completed the game. the sonic 2 card says “1/19/21″ and “*GODLIKE RUN*, 9 lives, 8 continues, no super sonic”. i classify this as such a good run bc i play sonic 2 pretty often and never use savestates until the wing fortress boss bc that boss is horse shit lol. so lives and continues are really important for my runs, and i usually don’t get that many, so this was a pretty crazy run for me. also i never use super sonic cause i’m no good at special stages lol

proof of all these continues lol. i only count 7 here so maybe i miscounted for the card  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idk

Passed Act 3

tldr i’m making 12 sonic drawings for each of the 12 main line sonic games between sonic 1 and sonic generations, 1 a month. i’ll also be (hopefully) completing each game and i’ll include images as proof on these tumblr posts. so here’s the images for sonic 1! :)

yeah they’re not great since i’m taking a picture of my tv with my phone lol. these screens also are only up for a short time so i don’t have time to set up a great picture. anyway this is the ending screen for sonic 1

and here’s a bonus image of me getting the “bad end” because i’m no good at bonus stages lol. eggman wins i guess :(
