"You have a habit of getting yourself into trouble, don't you?" Who said that? Oh, just a silver-haired, orange-eyed girl sitting on a nearby rock. Just watching. It's anybody's guess as to how long she's been watching Helm, considering he probably didn't even notice her until she spoke. ((from thequeenofstorms with love~. These two haven't interacted in forever.))
The Helmaroc King turns his head at the sound of the voice, and growls when he sees who it is. He hadnât noticed her until now, but now that he knew he was being watched, he wasnât going to pretend he would enjoy some company at the moment.Â
"Donât you have something better to do than follow me around? In case you havenât noticed, I have bigger things to deal with than you."
A small smile appears on the silveretteâs face; either she hadnât noticed Helmâs tone, or she didnât care. Probably the latter. "Do I have better things to do? Of course. Am I going to do them immediately? Frankly, no, Iâd like to stall as much as possible when it come to Ranox. But honestly, if you donât want help, you should just say so, and Iâll be on my way."Â No, I have no idea what Eve could hope to gain from helping this feathered doofus.
The massive bird ruffles his feathers and turns his head away from Eve when she speaks. âFrankly, if you have something better to do, then I suggest you do it. I may not know what Ranox is, but youâd have better luck finding something to do there, because I donât need your help.â
Helm didnât particularly care if Even knew what was going on, or if she was clueless and just knew he needed help. Either way, the bird was in a frustrating situation, and was convinced he could handle it on his own.
Eve raises an eyebrow, before kind of shrugging. "So you're going to turn down help from someone who can probably cover more ground in an hour than you can in eight and happens to have a scanner that can track down lifeforms, albeit a short-range one? I may not know exactly who this Navi person is, but I'd like to think I could pick up the energy signature of a fairy pretty easily in an area like this."Â She just kind of flops on her back, staring up at the sky with a sort of exasperated look on her face. "Suit yourself. I guess I won't go running around at supersonic speeds looking for the person you managed to lose for the cost of distracting me so I don't have to go to a hellscape that'll likely make me overheat in less than ten seconds... well, okay, more like flying, but still."
