Queen Cleo 👑
Your set up is amazing!! I hope to have a set up like that when I move out of my parents house!!
Thank you! I’m very lucky my family were happy to help me put it together :)
Hi! You seem knowledgeable about buns and heat, so I was hoping I could ask a question - I’m a college student and just got a bun like five months ago. The dorm I’m in has A/C, but I’m moving off campus for the summer and next year. However, there’s like no places with A/C available, and I’m worried about my bun overheating - any suggestions?
Hi there, sorry for the late reply! I think the foremost important thing would be to keep your bun somewhere there is shade. Shade makes a massive difference when it’s hot, your bunny definitely will need to be somewhere shady. You will also need to provide lots of water. Sometimes I put ice cubes in my rabbits’ water, but really as long as the water and bowl don’t get hot it will be fine. If your bunny doesn’t seem to be drinking as much water as you would like and you’re concerned, a little bit of watery fruit like watermelon can help your bun get some hydration. Beyond that, freezing some water in large bottles and providing them for your bunny to lie next to helps a lot as well. Some people also spray a gentle mist of water on bunny’s ears as that’s how they regulate their temperature, but I haven’t tried this. Hope this helps!
And here we have Cleo demonstrating the Dead Bunny Flop.
Reposting because I still love this photo.
In the crazy excitement that is dinner time, I witnessed River actually jump on poor Petra... 🙄😂
My pretty girls ❤️
The rabbits were particularly snoopy today while we were cleaning the pens... It’s a warm day today so I also put in some ice bottles for them. Cleo and Andre have the right idea 🐰
Today I bought the bunnies a sisal ball each to play with. So far they’ve been a massive hit with Cleo and Petra, they’ve been rolling them around and tossing them heaps. I wish I got a video of them playing, it was very cute!
Petra chillin’.
Hi! I have a baby rabbit and an adult rabbit (I'm an experienced rabbit guardian) and recently I forgot to turn the AC on and it got to about 76 degrees or so. My baby bun had a small heat stroke and I found that I couldn't get her to drink water, but she would eat watermelon. At the vets the give saline water and glucose to heat stricken buns, but in an emergency watermelon pr celery can save lives. Couldnt find this fact anywhere online so I'm trying to spread the knowledge 💕
Oh dear, I’m so glad your baby bun is alright now! That’s definitely a good idea in an emergency, thank you for sharing x

We put up the new hutches yesterday! I didn’t take any progress photos as we were racing against a storm, but it missed us anyway. The new hutches feel much sturdier and the asphalt roofing seems to be better quality than the last ones. I’m still not done with the pens overall, obviously they still need some cleaning and I’m tempted to remove the burrow things. I’d like to buy them some new toys as well. But the new hutches are a great start, they look good and the rabbits have even more space to run now.
We’ve been hit by two pretty severe storms in the last couple of weeks. The asphalt roof on Cleo and André’s hutch unfortunately has been torn completely off, but they still have their burrow for protection from the elements. Thankfully, their new hutches are expected to arrive this week. I can’t wait to replace them, their current ones are ready for the tip.
