No, i am not the Loki you are thinking of.
Overseer of The Crows Foundation.

Loki had always enjoyed being the center of attention. Being the one that everyone way looking at, and talking about, being admired and the best place to be the center of attention? A party! Or in this case, a gala.
It was hosted by The Crows, and being a member of the council that oversees The Crows he was obviously invited! It was different from the massive feasts Loki had gotten used to in his youth, this was quieter. cleaner. Atleast on the surface, but Loki knew it was all just a facade. The drama was all the same, just repackaged to look elegant and classy.
He didn't mind. This place was built on lies, and Loki loved a good lie. So he stood slightly off to the side, listening and watching. Catching every bit of gossip and drama, for when he finally decided to join a conversation.
Note is leaning against a pillar, fiddling with a CD in its hands. It has a CD player with a short chain attaching it to its belt, and its earrings are small cassette tapes. It balanced the CD on its finger for a short while before slipping it into its coat and pulling out a different CD, this one with a yellow cover with black text on it.
It didn't take long for Loki to notice. Someone else who was just standing by itself, it seemed. He walked over, tipping his head curiously as he caught sight of the CD "You like CDs?" No 'hi' or 'how are you'. He couldn't be bothered with all that.
"Yup." Note nodded, looking up at him. "You like 'em too?" It flipped the CD in to air, catching it neatly between two fingers.
Loki shrugged "They're cool i guess. I wouldn't say i've ever had a particularly strong opinion on them. Definitely not strong enough for me to bring them to a gala" He said, and gestured to their surroundings.
"Sounds like a you problem." Note snorted, its eyes gleaming. "I find them quite useful in a variety of situations."
"Useful?" He echoed, raising an eyebrow "Useful how? Pretty sure most kids just listen to music on their phones these days.."
Note smirked and flicked its wrist. The CD flew out of its hand, soaring across the room and slicing the cork of a bottle of wine clean in half. With a twist of Note's fingers, the CD is back, resting lightly in its palm. "Useful." Note stated, its tone teasing.
Lokis eyes widened slightly as the CD cut through the cork. He looked from the wine bottle, back to Note "Right. That's certainly one way to bypass the no weapons policy." He joked. "But how'd you do that? You got CD telekinesis or something?"
"Something like that." Note answered, grinning. It balanced the CD on two of its fingers, tilting it slightly. "They also play music like regular CDs."
"Delightful." Loki chuckled "Y'know you really gotta teach me how to do that," He gestured to the CD, "Though i suppose its not exactly a skill you learn, is it?" He mused.
"It's just something I do." Note grinned, handing him the CD. It's now a completely ordinary CD.
Loki took the CD, flipping it over in his hand to look at both sides. He help it by the edge as to not scratch it or get grease on it "interesting. How did you even figure out you had this.. ability?" Loki wondered out loud.
"I was manufactured knowing how to do it." Note answered, grinning widely. A touch too widely, it looks rather uncanny.
"Manufactured?" Loki echoed, a hint of curiosity in his voice "So you're a machine of some kind?" He wasn't bothered by the uncanny grin, he was used to people being not quite human.
"Something like that." Note continued grinning. It didn't seem to try to be scary, it just smiles like that. "And you seem to be completely organic and fleshy?"
"Something along those lines, sure." He shrugged and waved his hand dismissively "What i am does not matter."
Note shrugged. "Yup. I couldn't care less. But anyway, what are you doing here?" It slipped the CD into its coat.
"Wait- what do you mean you dont care?" Loki didn't care about a lot of things, other then when people didn't care about something. that made him care a lot, especially when he was trying to be mysterious and intriguing. He cleared his throat, "I work with the people who hosted this gala" he replied, and gestured around the room. "So naturally i was invited."
"Boring." Note yawned. "I broke in."
"You... Broke in?" Loki echoed, before sighing and shaking his head "You know. When you do something you break in somewhere the plan is to not be found out." He didn't really care all that much, if anything it might bring some actual exitment to the otherwise uptight and stuffy gala.
"Does it look like anyone noticed?" Note asked, raising an eyebrow. "If I hadn't told you, would you have ever figured it out?"
"Im sure i would've noticed eventually." He scoffed "The problem isn't that anyone found out. the problem is that you though oh hey!! i broke into the place im not supossed to be,,, let me just go tell someone im not supossed to be here!! there cant possibly be any consequences for this!!"
There's an edge to Note's grin. "Consequences shmonsequences. You really think anyone could do anything about it?" There's now a CD between two fingers on its right hand. It hadn't appeared to move to reach for the CD, it's just there now. Note raised an eyebrow.
Loki narrowed his eyes and tipped his head "You've got a lotta nerve, y'know." He huffed "Enlighten me, why wouldn't anyone be able to do anything about it?"

Daliah was almost certainly not supposed to be here. He wasn't even invited. But if there's one thing they had learned throughout their life, it's that if you act confident enough, everyone else will just assume that you know what you're doing and not question it. And, well, you can't blame a guy for joining a good party every now and again.
Daliah grabbed himself a glass of overpriced champagne from a caterer as he weaved through the crowd, no one yet batting an eye at his presence as he scanned the waves of people. Now, who would be the (un)lucky soul to catch his attention next?
...Ah, perfect.
"You know, for such an extravagant gala, I would have expected it's guests to be able to hold their liqueur better." Daliah mused, gesturing towards two inebriated individuals as he slid up beside Loki. "But I guess when you have money on your side, some people can afford to act a fool."
Loki glanced at the person who had appeared besides him and his eyes narrowed slightly. It wasn't anyone he recognised, but he pushed the suspicion down and smiled
"I suppose. I have to admit it is quite fun getting drunk and forgetting all about your troubles. Especially when you dont have to deal with the consequences once you come to your senses again."
He tipped his head slightly, as he regarded Daliah. There was something about them. Something not quite mortal.
Daliah laughed, a noise that would have been drowned out by the crowd if they weren't standing right next to the man.
"That is quite true as well. Never really saw the appeal of it myself, but I suppose everyone has their vices. It's entertaining to watch, at least."
He flashed a grin at Loki, eyes perhaps just a little too bright for a normal human. "I'm Daliah, by the way, it's a pleasure." He introduced himself, extending his free hand for a friendly shake.
"Loki." He introduced himself, as he took Daliahs hand "I assume you've heard of me? You must have, most people here have."
It was difficult to be invited to anything hosted by The Crows without having atleast heard about the council members. But then again, he did have his suspicions that the person infront of him might not have been invited at all. Not that he cared. It might even end up as good entertainment once someone else finds out.
"Ah! You're the mysterious Loki I've heard so much about, it's good to finally meet you face to face," Daliah lied. Okay well, it wasn't technically a lie lie. He had indeed heard of the name Loki before, just a different one. That still counted, right?
Judging just by his introduction, Daliah could tell that this guy was important around here, though he couldn't yet tell if running into him was a lucky or unlucky thing yet. Either way, he was still here to have fun, and this wasn't going to change any of that.
"Mhm." He nodded, still suspicious of Daliah. Something about them wasn't 'right', The too bright eyes, the grin, the everything. Loki had gotten good at spotting those things, thats what an immortal lifetime of working with people who weren't 'right' will do to you. That and being one.
"So how'd you get invited?" Loki asked as he let go of Daliahs hand again. "Most people don't just get an invite without knowing anyone. So who do you know?"
"Oh, you know," Daliah waved their hand rather dismissively. "Sometimes you just know a guy, and sometimes you know the right guy to owe you one when you feel like going to a nice Gala.' He answered flippantly, just vague enough to not have to name any names.
The pink haired man tipped back his glass and downed the rest of his champagne, setting the empty glass on a nearby table. "Well, if you're really this interested in getting to know me with all these questions, at least let me buy you a drink first."
"Can't say no to a free drink, can I?" Loki stated in an amused tone "Im curious. what do you think my preferred drink, so to say, would be?" He mused, tipping his head.
Many people believe that what someone drinks says a lot about them, Loki had never agreed with that. What does say a lot about someone, however, are the assumptions they make of others.
Daliah looked at Loki with the utmost intensity, making a square with his hands like he was trying to take a picture. He made some thinking noises, tapping a foot against the fancy, marble floor as he tried to think of thr perfect drink.
"You strike me as a... wisky cocktail kinda guy." Daliah finally spoke. "I think a Goldrush cocktail, it matches your aura."
"My aura?" Loki eched and raised an eyebrow "What else does my aura say about me, if you dont mind sharing this devine enlightenment?" He joked, his words taking a lighthearted but sarcastic tone.
"But you are close, i suppose." He said, refering to the drink "Its not exactly my go to drink, but i do enjoy a Goldrush." He said, before pausing, a tipping his head slightly "now that i think of it, I actually don't have a go to, I just kind of order whatever. So i guess it was kind of a trick question."
"Well..." Daliah started, leaning his elbows against the counter. Divine enlightenment, huh? Oh that was a riot. "It's a rich golden colour swirling with darkness, but it only makes the good shine brighter~ its bold—showing clear authority, and, shall we say, wizened from its years." Which was a polite way to say old as fuck.
Daliah laughed at Loki's admission, placing a hand on his hip. "Well, trick questions are the best kind of questions if I do say so myself," They spoke with a coy grin. "Now, let's get you that drink, hm?"
"Of course. Drinks wont buy themselves after all." He chuckled and began walking towards the bar.
He weaved through the crowd, avoiding anyone who might want to stop him and strike up a conversation, all while making sure Daliah was always right behind him.
Daliah did indeed stay right behind Loki all the way to the bar, noticing how the man so easily maneuvered through the crowd like a fish swimming through water. Once at the bar, Daliah tapped the counter to catch the attention of the bartender.
"Lovely evening~ I'll get a Goldrush for my friend and..." He trailed off, turning to Loki with a small grin. "Well, what kind of drink do you think I'd like?"
"Hm.." Loki took a moment to think, tipping his head slightly "Whats the sweetest pinkest drink you can think of?" He chuckled "Because thats the vibe your aura gives. Pink and fluffy and full of sugar." He paused for a second and narrowed his eyes thoughtfully "And alcohol. Like a lot of alcohol." He finally added.
"Wow, looks like I'm more of an open book than I thought," Daliah laughed, nodding back to the bartender. "A Goldrush for my friend and a Kinky Sherly Temple for myself, please. I do enjoy me a bit of vodka~"
When the drinks were done, Daliah popped a straw in his and took a large sip, face breaking open into a pleased and impressed grin. "Wow! This is exactly what I was craving. You're probably even better at reading people than I am. But I guess that kind of skill comes with the position." He mused, leaning against the counter.
"Yeah. But you're pretty easy to read" He shrugged, as he took a sip of his drink "Well atleast when it comes to the drink." He hummed, and narrowed his eyes at Daliah slightly.
"There's something about i can't quite figure out.." He mused and tipped his head slightly. "You're not from around here are you?"
"Oh~?" Daliah hummed, smiling with faux innocence. They knew that it would be a matter of time before someone started to catch on, it was only his luck that he would find the company of someone so perceptive.
Daliah traced the edge of his glass with his finger, until it made a low, melodic sound. "And why exactly do you think that, hm?" He asked, not confirming nor denying Loki's claim.
"I guess its the kind of skill that comes with the position." He echoed what Daliah had said moments earlier before leaning forwards with a wide grin plastered on his face,
"So, what are you?" Loki asked expectantly "You must be some kind of immortal right? A fae? A god?" He tipped his head curiously as he waited for Daliahs answer.

He didn't mind. This place was built on lies, and Loki loved a good lie. So he stood slightly off to the side, listening and watching. Catching every bit of gossip and drama, for when he finally decided to join a conversation.
