This has been such a cool journey for this Kirkus ⭐️ book which was stuck in the proverbial drawer for a decade because I had been second guessing myself and whether it was any good. Turns out, it is!!! It really is! It’s the second Kirkus ⭐️ and second Moonbeam Award 🌕🥇 for the Elkrider series (and GOLD medal at that) and I couldn’t be more honored or excited. It is a reminder that we need diverse characters and diverse stories even those who are neurologically atypical and that they have a place in this genre and can make for awesome stories that haven’t been told yet.
