I can't say I was on my politics like I should've been and I missed the speech that rocked the 2004 DNC from a young freshman senator Barack Obama! I do remember him hitting the campaign trail in what seems to be 06' though. A dapper, well spoken, intelligent, enthusiastic, and energetic candidate hit the scene and right now I can't really tell You that I heard him speak of his policies before I voted for him, but I guess the way he spoke of hope and change was mesmerizing. Not only did I vote Obama, I was out selling Obama shirts and really on that Obama train! The night Obama was elected the first time, I can remember it like it was yesterday. I was at the Rockstar Bar watching the results come in and there was nothing you could tell me to make me believe Barack was about to win. All I could hear was Tupac "It may seem heaven sent, but we ain't ready for a black president..."
