Persephone (Kore) is the Goddess of Spring, Queen of the Underworld, Wife of Hades, and Daughter of Demeter.. and she is still SO much more than that!
Iโve created this thread for myself and in the hopes that it maybe helpful to someone else wishing to learn, study, and worship Lady Persephone. ๐

First, recognize that everything you do to nurture your own sensual enjoyment of life will help enlarge the influence of Persephone within most of your personal life! She wants you to remember to stay close to your inner child, to rememberย
๐ easy ways to worshipโ
๐ค๐ฅ I โข Start by slowing down!
Like Lady Persephone herself, take time to stop and smell the flowers! Make it a point to watch a sunrise or sunset on occasion, even if it means losing a few extra minutes of sleepโฆ She wants you to experience the world with a great big โWOWโ more often!! Allow yourself to soak in positive energies whenever youโre able to reach them, thereโs so much more in life to enjoy than youโd think.
๐๐ท II โข Persephone blossomed from a naive and innocent young child; into a self-confident queen almost overnight!
Find a picture of yourself as a young child, place it in a lovely frame, and set it out where you can see it and admire how vulnerable and innocent you were then. We chose a picture on the railroad tracks, back when we still lived in the Grafton House. Everything felt so much simpler back then, everything felt likeโฆ I had so many options open ahead of me, itโs crazy to look back and see that now.
๐ค๐ฅ III โข Take time to think about your past:ย
What were the things you did that felt heroic..?
What once caused you embarrassment or pain..?
Write these down and review them frequently and allow yourself to release any negative thoughts that you formed against yourself. You may not have felt heroic, but youโve learned so much from the past, and youโve saved more people than youโd think. Embarrassment, like pain, only lasts so long.. You have to be kinder to yourself.
๐๐ท IV โข Persephone, as Queen of the Underworld, was known as a gracious and welcoming hostess
Practice really giving your full attention to someone else; listening to them with both your heart and mind.. may it be your child, your partner, or your friend, show them your love! Iโve been trying to practice more than I preach, I want people to feel like they can reach out to me and that Iโll be here to listen whenever they need me.
๐ค๐ฅ V โข Find an open weekend, and leave all your adult responsibilities behind for just a day or two; now itโs time to PLAY!
Donโt worry what other people will think, call it a mental health weekend if it makes you feel better, but whatever you do, just allow yourself to exist! Itโs about time we had time with just ourselves, we need to remember how to vibe alone in our own energy.
๐๐ท VI โข Move toward letting go of old resentments
if you cannot forgive, at least accept with understanding! someone who you feel betrayed your youthful innocence by forcing you to assume adult responsibility before you were ready (such as my relationship with my bio mother)
๐ค๐ฅ VII โข Check that your passions and attention arenโt being divided
sometimes you need to channel your energy into fewer and more rewarding directions.. visualize what you want to happen and repeat it until your positive thoughts become a habit and your intentions a reality!
๐๐ท VIII โข Work on trusting that it is safe to express your feelings even if it means risking hurt
let others know how you feel about them, even if itโs not something good.. often they too may be looking for someoneโs blatant honesty! the truest of friends are the honest ones.
๐ค๐ฅ IX โข Stay young, wild, and free!
pick fresh flowers, go to parks, play on swings, and do silly things like whistling while you work.. focus on developing a free spirit and enjoy the spontaneous pleasures that are so freely available in this life if you know where to look!
๐๐ค X โข Surround yourself with Persephoneโs symbols
share her youthful energy by carrying her favorite crystals, dress in her colors, or spray the scents of lavender and vanilla on all your linens.. embrace Persephone in everything you do to encourage her energies around you!
๐ค๐ฅ XI โข Participate in rituals or general celebration of Persephoneโs beloved sabbaths
there are three main sabbaths that Persephone celebrates: Ostara for her spring rebirth to Demeter, Mabon for her Descent to the Underworld/Hades, and Samhain to celebrate her Dark Coronation.

Persephone was once a Maiden who generally was not permitted to make her own choices in life, but not as Queen of the Underworld! allow the event of a 'Personal Dateโ with yourself where you will only do or enjoy things for and by Yourself!

there is no wrong way to be YOU! we donโt have to limit ourselves between choosing a pretty feminine aesthetic or a dark romantic one.. if Lady Persephone can be the Goddess of Spring and the Queen of the Underworld all at onceโ so can you!

it takes a lot of digging emotionally in order to truly believe in yourself and your own magic.. and just as Persephone learned, taught, and guided herself through challengesโ with her by your side, so you can you!

it goes without saying that Persephoneโs story in and of itself is vast and complicated, but the truest thing about Persephone regardless of the telling (outside of her kindness) is her drive to have self-love.. and she wants that for us too!

create physical comfort within the knowledge that your own personal Underworld is a space in which you should find the most self-understanding! your shadow holds wisdom, gifts, and lessons that will lead you to your fuller self

itโs incredibly important that we are able to learn how to coexist in equality with all and any masculine energies within our lives.. whether they be our masculine traits or partners, coexisting with feminine energy is a must

learning how to embrace her shadow side with shadow work but without rejecting her childlike self is something we all struggle with.. her myth is a wonderful lesson about how to integrate your shadow self without overhauling your life!

Persephone went from her maiden self to a queen partially overnight and she reminds us that we have to find balance in the idea of standing in our maturity and power without losing any childlike joy and wonder with time and age
