When I was young I heard stories of Cinderella
And how she was rescued by that handsome young fella
Oh how I wished I could be like her
And ending up with a life so much better
As I grew up, the realisation began,
That to save me I do not need a man,
Real life is no fairy tale
And the search for a Prince is to no avail
I learned to stand up on my own two feet
All the villains on my own I shall beat
Because I am no damsel in distress
In pretty gowns or a beautiful dress
Bring it on, storm or drought,
Hit me with me all you've got
I wont go down without a fight
I will be my own Prince Charming tonight.
