My Dad named his boat “The Lee Shore.” When I heard “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,” I thought heaven’s angels were coming through the speaker, and the poetry left me wanting to learn how they could write those words. The acoustic was thunder. Their Woodstock performance keeps me in awe. “Almost Cut My Hair” is an effort in humor, pain, and strength, meaning more to me than ever. I’m heartbroken. I don’t have words. He was the oldest Stonewall. One of my oldest friends. David was someone driven to do right by the song. Any song. There was work to be done, and he was going to get it right. He was generous beyond measure. A true friend. I’m grateful for David Graham in so many ways.
