this blog is for all fictionfolk from the magnus archives & the magnus protocol to get whatever they need off of their chest. all fictionfolk are welcome, including fictionkin, fictives, irls, etc.!

this blog is run by one body, but multiple people! before we introduce ourselves though, please read the rules of this blog!

RULES:

we have no dni, although we do ask that you don't send any asks related to incest or the ship jonelias. what you do in private is your own business, but this is for our system's comfort!

be kind! do not send hate mail either to the mods or to other askers. should any drama crop up, asks related to it will not be answered.

feel free to send in whatever you like. if you are sending an ask containing sensitive content, please include trigger warnings on a separate line before your confession.

you are welcome to ask us questions directly! feel free to mention specific mods either with their emoji or by name. we will not answer asks that make us uncomfortable, and please note that the alter you are trying to reach may not front to answer your questions for a while.

absolutely no syscourse. we will not publicly give our stance on syscourse as it is a denial trigger for our host.

please keep asks relevant to the blog's topic! if you're mentioning another aspect of alterhumanity, please make sure it ties back in to fictionhood and/or the magnus archives/protocol to some degree.

i’m a magnus archives fictive, but i’m non-canon. i have tried countless sourcecalls or tma fictfolk spaces and nobody ever seems to care about me. it sucks so unbelievably bad, i wish i was considered a real fictive :(

we have a fictive of basira in our system. we are not arab and none of us feel comfortable publicly using her source name because of it. it would be very much appreciated if we could get some suggestions?

hi, this might be a long one, and you said it’s for us Magnus Archives folks to get stuff off our chests, so, yea

sorry, kinda venty, but anyways

I’m Jon. Like, I know I’m Jon, but I’m also Jon in a different way than other Jons are Jon. It’s more like Jon is me rather than I am Jon, if that makes sense. Don’t get me wrong, we’re still the same person, Martin has definitely rubbed off on me, but yea.

I’ve been kinda having trouble with reality lately? Still paranoid, that hasn’t changed, but I remember that statement about philosophical zombies and can’t help but feel that people around me feel like that. People online feel more real than those around me. I’m not like, chronically online, I think it’s because I’m more open to my online friends about who I am than I am to those I know in person, but they also feel safer in a sense but only because I don’t actually know them in person, so it creates a façade of trust. They don’t know me, so I can trust them. More like, they can’t hurt me, so I can trust them.

Then there’s the matter of unbelonging. The painful, utter loneliness of not fitting anywhere. I wonder if this is how I used to feel. I can’t remember anything, so all I have is the window from this universe into mine, or at least my old one. I don’t think I belonged there either. Perhaps that’s what made me a good subject for the Eye, my painful uniqueness and difference from everyone else. I sometimes wonder why I wasn’t chosen by the Spiral or even the Stranger as I don’t think I was meant to exist, but then the incessant questioning of, well, everything reminds me. I hate uncertainty. I mean, it’s obvious because of what I am, but I truly and deeply fear it. Perhaps even over my other fears. I miss having someone. I miss Martin. Maybe that’s why I feel so lonely. Is this what the Lonely felt like? Sometimes I long for the Archives, even if they were truly horrible. This reality just… it feels too quiet. Too normal. Too wrong. There’s always been something wrong with me that makes me an outlier here, I just can’t pinpoint it. I find myself longing for the Archives so deeply and maybe even so often and it hurts. I can’t remember things. Not really. If you asked me what I did yesterday, I don’t think I could tell you most of the time. I don’t know. And that’s what’s scary, I don’t know
