Day 3: The First Day after the Weekend
Weekends are tough.
They stir up your schedules and routines, but they are the ones that create the most memories.
“The moments that mean the most to you are the moments that you can’t schedule in.”

Lent - Day 2: The First Couple of Steps
Day 2 seemed like it progressed a lot. I was able to help a handful of co-workers and make their day feel good. One of them even said, “You inspire me to become a better person.” Sweet.
I also avoided my first situation dealing with alcohol tonight for a friend’s birthday but I ate pretty bad instead -_- .
There are no accidents.
Everything is exactly how it should be starting from when you born and when you die, the parents you have, and the friends that will leave you. Your pain created your strength.
(Day 1) The Beginning Happens Now
Today is the start of Lent. It’s exciting. We typically hear it with friends as in “giving up” something either that be soda, candies, or social media. I don’t look at Lent as in giving up something, but in gaining something.
“Discipline builds character”
A long time ago, one of my professors asked my entire class,
“What is the difference between playing a game and a whole bunch of people running around throwing or kicking around a ball on a field somewhere?”
The class was silent for a little bit and scattered answers came up here and there, but my professor was looking for something very specific. I wasn’t sure if my answer was correct but I raised my hand anyways. He said you’re exactly correct. I answered,
“Rules.”
Rules (discipline) is what decides what is right and wrong. Who has won and who has lost. How to move forward or backwards. There are rules and structure to every game or sport. Some rules can be bent and most rules can’t be broken. Learning and practicing these rules will make you better at any discipline you are trying to achieve.
40 Day Transformation into a Lifetime
40 days is very symbolic in the bible and is the reason why Lent is 40 days.
- Jesus traveled 40 days through the desert - The disciples were transformed by 40 days with Jesus after his resurrection - Elijah was transformed when God gave him 40 days of strength in a single meal - Noah’s life was transformed by 40 days of rain
Goals
Here are my goals for these 40 days:
- Reread The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren (Which was written in 40 chapters) - Read a chapter a day, Resisting Happiness by Matthew Kelly - At least some form of exercise (75 push-up minimum) - 2 days of fasting a week - No form of recreational intoxication - Restraint from sinful acts, words, and thoughts - Work on some form of creative art daily - Cognitive effort to compliment more people publicly - Reach out to an old friend to let them know I care
I know this is tough and I know I’ll stumble while trying to accomplish all these but it’s not about being perfect, it’s about the struggle to get there. I know that these things will only strengthen me and help others around me. This is my first blog post that I’ve made public in a long time and I need to remember that if I have words that have the ability to lift up one person’s soul when they are troubled, then I need to speak up.
If I know you, then I’m glad you’ve decided to follow me on this journey, we’ll do it together my friend. And if I don’t know you, I hope you decide to stick around and hopefully we can help each other. I love you all and I’m excited to start this journey.

What I feel this election is
Even though Hulk would destroy Popeye, it's a pretty awesome cross-over idea... maybe Popeye can drink Hulk's blood like spinach for powers.
Really cool Matrix artwork
Random Dream I had
I dreamed I was the head of a brigade filled with commoners in a war. There was this angry fella in the middle of a group of soldiers that was complaining to me about another guy," I'm getting so annoyed of Leonard. He does this thing where he spits but nothing comes out. If you're gonna spit. Then spit like a man!" And Leonard responds," I spit 'cuz I don't like the taste in my mouth!" After listening to Leonard, I grab Leonard by the head and slam into the dinner table. I put my boot on his head, and pull out my pistol. The soldiers around us stop everything and look at us. I look at the guy," Does Leonard annoy you that much where if I killed him, you'd feel better? That if I put a bullet through his head you'd be happy? You have three seconds to answer....3....2...." The guy stumbles on his words and is so nervous he doesn't speak. I took the gun away from Leonard's head and shoot the guy in the head, blowing his brains out all over the ground. I take my foot off Leonard's head and hand him the gun to Leonard and then I yell to everyone, "The only way we're going to win this war is by working as a team and not letting this petty shit get between us." And then I just walked away.
I woke up feeling like such a bada$$. Lol
Sometimes we use social media to express our most darkest sins hoping no one actually hears them...but at the same time, hoping someone actually does.

X-Men
Started this Naruto game on my phone. This is the first power move you can do with Kakashi. Hilarious. Love it.
You control you.
Never give up.
