So i reblogged this before but finally got a chance to watch it and this is honestly so amazing. Everything I love about running was in this video. The pureness of it shines, this was beautiful.

From around mile 32 of 50 - one of my favorite races ever. This hill looks easy but in the moment, I slowed to a walk because I couldn’t bear it. My friend who snapped this picture, snapped me out of that low valley right after. She told me that she KNEW I was able to run the hill, that I would regret walking later, and that the only person who could make me move faster was me. Today I’m feeling sluggish and unmotivated. I’m remembering her words in this moment & I’ve got to choose to strongly press on & make shit happen! The only person who can put one foot in front of the other is yourself.

Motivation Monday worked! Got my ass on the trails for a day-late 10 miler. Thought about delicious 50 milers while I trudged along. Letsgoooooo
Motivation Monday. Mile 30 something on a 50 miler at the north rim. Uphill, bushwhacking, and following little pink flags through the forest. I loved this race & feel so far away from that fitness level right now. Another week tacking on some miles and running when I don’t feel like I can. I want to get back here so I can run long whenever I want & so that I can be out for 50 miles and just love it.
