It’s leading up to Scottsbluff, if your heading west. Right after Scottsbluff if heading east. It’s completely fenced off from a distance (to preserve it). There is a small museum (with an entry fee), clean bathrooms, and a small gift shop. It’s worth the stop if you’re in the area.

Tip: Even if the building is closed, you can walk up to the fence area for great photo moments.

Nottoway Plantation - The Mansion on the Mississippi, one of the largest remaining plantation homes in the South. Built in the late 1850s, this antebellum mansion survived the Civil War and various owners; until it was converted into a resort. Accommodating many events on its beautiful grounds. They offer a Mansion tour (of course for a price), that goes further into the history of the property.

Rattlesnake Saloon - A very unique and secluded location for a saloon, built into the natural formation of the Alabama landscape. Food is nothing special but it’s a bar... I will say the fried cheesecake is really, Really yummy. Maybe start with dessert. When arriving there is signs to park in a dirt parking lot by the street. It’s about a quarter mile walk to the saloon. There is a “Saloon taxi”, a truck that will pick you up. Beware it’s for money $. You step into the back of the truck and it is posted all over “working for tips”... No pressure, I’m sure. We didn’t make that mistake leaving, we walked our pretty little butts back to the car. Meet Una and Leo III, University of North Alabama Live Mascots. Beautiful campus and these two are shining stars. So Personable and full of character. Located in Florence, AL it’s a perfect pit stop to stretch your legs from a long road trip and get to know these beautiful cats. Highly recommend stopping by.

Hamilton Pool Preserve 24300 Hamilton Pool Rd Dripping Springs TX 78620 9am - 6pm $15.00 per car - Cash only Reservations required during the summer. From May through September Operated by the Travis County Parks No Pets allowed Spots are limited to visit park, plan accordingly. The earlier in the day is better. Approximately 0.25 mile hike on an uneven, rocky trail. It’s downhill going to the pool and uphill returning. Bathrooms are located in the parking lot and porta potties are at the bottom of the trail. There is no lifeguard on duty, swim at your own risk. The park provides lifejackets of all sizes for visitors to use. The natural pool’s bottom is uneven and rocky. Swimming shoes would be a great idea.

Hiking Glory Hole Falls Trail - Approximately 1.8 miles Rt Coordinates N35 49.326, W93 23.611 In the Ozark National Forest State Highway 16 Deer, AR 72628 USA It's a Moderate Hike, down hill going to the falls and uphill return. Massive rock formations (once down there), good for taking breaks or having a snack. Worth the trip!

Dominican Republic - March 25th 2017 to April 1st 2017 Now that we have been, what we would do different is…. - We would stay on the Caribbean side on the Country. At a resort in Los Melones, Bayahibe - 4 Star and above. Splurge to get the VIP - Take advantage of every opportunity to go to any of the islands off the coast. Saona Island, Catalina, or De Mona Island Pure breathtaking Tips: Spanish speaking - highly recommend dusting off your high school Spanish skills The Dominican people are fun and know how to party. However they are like the “New Yorkers” of the Caribbean. They have a tendency to talk very aggressively to each other, almost to the point it makes people feel uncomfortable to be around. And they drive the same way…

Iceland - November 6th 2016 to November 12th 2016 Now that we have been, what we would do different is…. - We would plan a longer trip and just rent a car, and go. - Book one tour just to get the lay of the land and meet a local (great insight). - Wifi is free at most locations: Hotels, bus tours, etc… Tips: English speaking Different power adapter. Iceland uses a two prong, type F power socket.
