Welcome and thank you for being an imagine blog ouo. Can I get the bros reacting to a male s/o confessing to them after Luna passes away? Like he knows they're all hurting in their own way, but the S/O Can't think of a better time to tell them. Bonus if some of the reactions are positive and others negative

also an apology in general for being slow! I feel the need to apologize again! Just life happening and in good ways, but my passion for ffxv hasn’t gone anywhere… (how can it… all the dlc… episode ignis… monster of the deep… luna updates… hngh)

Noctis

Noctis isn’t in any position to reciprocate anyone’s feelings after Luna’s death. He’s grieving too badly. He’s lost his father, his city. He already knew his responsibilities, but he’s been forced to accept them too fast. And now Luna’s death, and Ignis losing his eyesight… even if he could accept that you are in love with him (and part of him can’t, not at first, part of him thinks it’s just pity even though deep down, and if he were able to think rationally, you would never say these thigns just out of pity) every person he’s loved has either died, or been put in danger, or grievously injured, and if he encourages you, what if you end up hurt, too? He can’t handle it. He can’t handle any more of it.

(But it doesn’t stop him from folding into your arms, doesn’t stop him from falling asleep in your arms because even as much as he’s hurting and as much as he’s afraid, he desperately needs you right now. That might be enough, for now?)

Prompto

Prompto’s shocked. He’s still reeling from everything that happened in Altissia, and he can’t wrap his mind around that you’re telling him this. He’s both apprehensive and flattered/would love to call himself your boyfriend. Apprehensive because this is a bad time. There are things that he needs to do; he needs to watch over Noct and Iggy both. (He’s also realized the mystery behind his past and that weighs heavy on his mind, depending ont he time of confession.) Plus… is it right to be happy when everything else is so sad? When everyone is hurting so much? If he thinks about it, or even consults the others about it, he’ll find that they want him to be happy and if he’s happy, it makes them happy too.

He would be thrilled to be in a relationship with you, but he would make sure to take his friend’s states of mind into consideration, too.

Ignis

Ignis also has his own host of problems immediately following Altissia - losing his eyesight. Despite saying it was a small sacrifice, he can’t shake the crushing darkness that plagues him both literally and emotionally. He’s useless to Noctis now. He’s useless in general. He doesn’t understand how you can be in love with him. Especially now, although he doesn’t say that. He thinks it wouldn’t be fair to the prince, even if he had been contemplating potential feelings towards you prior to this.

His duty has to be first and foremost to Noctis, and he has to play his precarious part in the Crownsguard as well as he can. The lingering what-ifs still follow him after your confession, though.

Gladiolus

Gladio doesn’t hesitate; after all of his complaints to Noctis about doing so, he has no problem straight up saying he has liked you, too. The initial confession probably ends with a kiss, or even something more. It depends on how angry mind crushingly upset he is when you tell him. It’s the perfect time to realize who you love and to hold them closer, not to push them away. Anyone who did that would be stupid. Your relationship might start out very physical, at first, but once time passes and everyone is able to grieve - including him - he makes it very clear to you that this isn’t just a distraction from despair, and he really would do anything for you.

He also lets his guard down around you, more so than the others. Noctis has his duty, Ignis has his blindness, Prompto has to deal with his past and the other two. But you… Gladio can always let his guard down around you.

“If you can catch it, you can have it back!”

Prompto tilts his head towards the voices, curiosity piqued. It isn’t uncommon for kids to out at this time of day, school having just been released and everything, but young kids usually don’t gather at the high school.

“Give it back!”

“I said, if you can get it-” There’s four children on the sidewalk. None of them can be older than ten, and one of the girls looks even younger. And shorter. Definitely shorter, as she tries to reach the backpack that one of the taller boys is holding out of her reach. “- you can have it back!”

“Hey!” Prompto grabs his own bag from the picnic table and vaults himself over the low fence. “Leave her alone!” Why were kids so mean nowadays? Especially to girls! That wasn’t how you treated a lady!

The other three scatter with his sudden appearance, dropping the girl’s backpack on the ground before running for it. Does he really look that threatening? He wonders. Heheh… He grins, scooping up the backpack and offering it down to the little girl. “Here you go, I’m sorry I didn’t see you sooner! Is your backpack okay? I hope it’s not too dirty!”

“No… it’s fine…” The little girl looks up. Her ringlets bounce. And then her eyes, still teary, light up. “Prom!”

Wait. “Yeah?”

“It’s Lucy! You know my sister!”

Wait. That hair. Those eyes. She’s… she looks… familiar…

“Lucy!”

Prompto’s head snaps up. He knows that voice! Oh no, oh no oh no-

“Big sis!”

“Omigod, your sister is Y/N?!”

“Yeah!” Lucy beams.

Oh no.

“What are you doing here, Lucy? I thought I was going to meet you at the corner. Hey, Prompto!”

“O-Oh! Hi!”

Why does it have to be you? Why does it- he doesn’t- he isn’t- he hadn’t planned to talk to you! He’s not mentally prepared! You had smiled at him in the hallway today and that was… that was just about all he could take in a day’s time! He can’t- oh God, what does his hair even look like? He pushes his bangs out of his face while your back’s turned.

“There were some boys who stole my backpack and Prom got it back for me!”

“What?” You had crouched down next to Lucy, but at that you glance up at him. And then back again. “Was it those same boys from before?”

Lucy nods. “Yeah, but Prompto was really cool!”

You’re still frowning, probably remnants of your sister’s bullying, but you’re also still having a conversation with him and… you’re kind of looking at him like he’s the best. Oh no. Oh no he’s blushing. His face is going to catch on fire…!

“Well, thanks Prompto! You really are a knight in shining armor, aren’t you?”

Ahhhh… what? “What?” Oh no, he’d said that out loud. “Oh, well, eheheh… just doin’ what’s right!” He’s all sweaty, isn’t he? That’s disgusting. He scrubs at a bead of sweat on the back of his neck. Can’t he talk to a cute girl without embarrassing himself? 

You stand up, ruffling up your sister’s hair. And then…

you reach over and pull Prompto into a hug.

Oh no. Oh God no no no, he’s all sweaty, he probably smells, and you smell so nice and you’re so nice in every way and oh no, you can probably hear his heart pounding in his chest-

Somehow, he manages to hug you back. He feels shell-shocked and knows his face is red. God, he’s an idiot, he’s such an idiot-

“I’ll talk to you tomorrow then, Prompto!” you say. “Thanks again. Did you say thank you to Prom?”

“Thanks!!”

“Oh… well. You’re welcome!”

You walk away with your sister, and Prompto all but slumps against the tree nearby. Oh God his legs are weak. He hears someone laughing, jerks his head up. Noct’s standing on the other side of the fence, watching him with unholy amusement.

“… Nooooooct!” he complains, and goes shooting after him. “Don’t laugh at me! It’s not funnyyyyy! She’s so cute!”

“You’ve got it bad!”

“I know! I know!!”

Hey there, goodluck with the blog :D So I've been wondering about this for awhile but what would the bros do when they accidentally see their 4'11 smol s/o wearing their clothes, high and mighty, while impersonating them, but really flustered when they got caught, ex. Noct's s/o "bow down before your prince, ohh, and as the future king, I hereby declare that carrots are banned" thank you :3

Thank you! I’ve been very slow - conventions and life and health problems, all smushed into one. On the bright side, I’ve gotten to meet Robbie - yes that Robbie - so I don’t mind making the excuse~

Noctis

He doesn’t expect to see you with a bed sheet draped about your shoulders like some sort of cape, one that drapes and drags on the floor, no less, and he definitely doesn’t expect to hear you impersonating him. He’s a little embarrassed and defensive at first - but only defensive in the best ways, ie playfully. “I would not ban carrots first! Beans would definitely have to go first!” After the initial surprise, he doesn’t mind volleying back at you, and it easily helps to alleviate how flustered you are.

Prompto

“Oh, I definitely don’t sound like that when I take a picture!” he exclaims when he walks in on you miming taking photos as though you have the Lokton in your hands. You immediately turn away and pretend you weren’t doing anything, but Prompto’s having none of you being embarrassed. It was cute! He doesn’t mind! You can even both pretend to take pictures together! Or, even better? You can actually take pictures together; he gets the camera so you can mime together in the photos.

Ignis

He’s probably just as flustered as you, although he does his best to hide it. (And fails. He fiddles with his glasses when he gets embarrassed.) You shouting “I’ve come up with a new recipe!” in that horrible attempt at an accent had startled him, and then embarrassed him. However, embarrassment aside, he knows that you are only teasing and is okay with responding in a similar, but much more quiet, manner. “Perhaps I’ll stop thinking of recipes, then,” he says, but his eyes are gleaming with amusement - a joke - despite the flush on his cheeks.

Gladio

When you shed your jacket with a familiar few words about taking your shirt clothes off, Gladio is all grins and laughter. “I know you don’t have a scrawny body,” he tells you, and offers to help you undress. Imitation is, after all, the finest form of flattery and if you’re going to pretend like you’re him, you’d sure better start by taking it all off. He’ll even join you. Hell, he’ll even start; if he takes off his pants, you have to, too…

Noctis

He would be a bit oblivious at first, but then once he realized wait a sec isn’t this the kind of thing I’ve been trying to do? (Noct, this is how you flirt. Not by the stealing-your-lunchbox-at-school kind of banter.) (He loves the banter, though.) (You love the banter, too.) But once Noctis realizes that you’re flirting with him, he goes straight up awkward. Blushing and looking away or playing with his hair. Slowly, with awkward baby steps, he starts to copy your flirting and volleys it back at you.

Much to your amusement. Much to Gladio’s amusement, too, who can’t watch your interactions with snickering.

Prompto

He might be taken aback for a little bit - he doesn’t think anyone’s ever flirted with him before? and your flirting isn’t awkward like his is! how are you sexy when you’re flirting when he’s like a bumbling newborn kitten?? - but he’s secretly really happy to be getting your attention. He still blushes around if you’re too bold, but he never shies away from the attention and, of course, encourages it with his own comments about you.

Meaning he never shuts up about you and his flirting is a little awkward and obvious but he means every word that he says and that’s adorable.Ignis

Propriety is paramount, right? Except you blow past all of that, blatantly flirting with him no matter where you are. In front of Noct, no less, and it’s not like he can respond. Except he does, in his own way. It does fluster him at first, although you wouldn’t notice unless you’re really looking for it. Fixing his glasses. Fingers through his hair. A little smile behind your backs as he turns away. But then he does start to flirt back, just a little. 

Casual touching and lingering glances are as far as he’ll go in public, but he doesn’t deter you. Of course not.Gladiolus

Gladio reacts like you expect him to react; no holds barred. There are never any holds barred with him. If you’re blatantly flirting with him, he’s gonna flirt right back with her and he’s gonna love it. Words? He’ll trade words right back. Touching? He’ll make out with you right here, right now. He also wouldn’t dance around the obvious: if you’re crushing on him and he’s crushing on you, get just get together now.

If he’s doing something really important, ie more important than roadtripping with the King, he does tone it down, though. (As do you, because you know how serious the job is to Gladio [and all of them])

*slithers back on tumblr* hey hey hey! I got an Prompto imagine for ya! This takes place during Episode Prompto: So Prom is sitting by a fire in a little cave he found while a snowstorm is raging outside. hes about to burn his barcode on his wrist when he hears his s/o calling to him. He turns and sees their silhouette trying desperately to get to him but the snowstorm knocks them down but prompto sprints out and catches them. and it ends with "I never thought id see you again" cuddles and fluff

Great timing, nonnie! I just finally played through Ep Prompto this week because I’m super slow with DLC 0w0 I’m gonna give you a fic instead, and I hope you’re alright with that!

Maybe, just maybe, he thinks, he can burn the damn thing off. Maybe then it won’t work. Maybe then he’ll be normal. Or maybe he can corrupt it just enough- but who is he kidding. He’s already corrupted. Everything he has learned. Everything that he’s had all this time to think about…

It isn’t even the barcode. It’s not just the barcode. It’s going to take a lot more than fire to cleanse everything, but by the Six, anything would be better than this-

“Prompto?!”

His head jerks up; the burning stick clatters to the cave floor. Surely that’s Aranea, catching up with him, but he… for a moment, he thinks…

“Prompto!”

He doesn’t think, he knows! That’s not Aranea! He’d know your voice anywhere, but how- what- the last he had seen of you was on the train, when Noct had… when Noct had… (no, don’t think about that!) Is he hallucinating? It’s cold enough to. Can hypothermia cause that? He doesn’t really know-

“Prompto?!”

No, he’s definitely not hallucinating! He catches a glimpse of your shadowy figure through the snowstorm buffeting the trees outside, only for a moment, and then it is gone.

“Y/N…?” He’s on his feet. The barcode is forgotten. The fire is forgotten. His past is forgotten. All that matters is you, and what you’re doing here, and “Y/N!” he shouts, and thunders for the mouth of the cave.

He sees you struggling through the snow, again only for that split second, but this time your form collapses. Crumples. And Prompto finds a burst of energy that he hasn’t had since before Noct went to face Leviathan and surges forward into the snow. The wind nearly knocks him off balance, too, and the cold bites into his face and hands, mask and gloves forgotten in the cave.

“Y/N… Y/N, hey!” He sees you, just ahead, a crumpled mess of clothing on the snow-covered ground, and panics. What if you… what if you weren’t… what if you died for him? He wasn’t worth dying for- “Y/N. Y/N. Please, please, talk to me, talk to me,” he rasps, slipping his arms beneath your shoulders and hauling you half into his lap. It’s cold. He’s cold. You’re cold-

- and then you smile, reach up with a frozen hand to press against Prompto’s cheek. “Hey… found you…”

Prompto almost crumples on top of you himself, suddenly weak all over and not from the cold. Instead, he gathers you up to your feet and side by side, you stagger back into the cave. “Here, sit down. No, no, no, sit down, here, by the fire, let me…” He kicks the stick out of the way. “There, you… what are you doing here??”

“I h-had to come,” you murmur. “H-Had to f-find you, Prompto…”

“B-But, I… how did you find me? How did you- nevermind.” It doesn’t matter. “You have to be freezing.” He scrambles to sit down next to you, to put his arm around you and pull you in. He doesn’t flinch when you put your cold nose on his neck. “I can’t believe you were looking for me in this… that’s just silly…”

“N-Not silly,” you say, and wrap your arms around him. “I didn’t… I didn’t th-think I’d see you again.”

“… didn’t think I’d see you again, either,” he mumbles, and tucks himself around you best he can. “But why are you out here? You could have been killed… I-I don’t want that to happen, not to you, it’s not worth it.”

“You’re always worth it,” you whisper, and Prompto has tears in his eyes as you press a frozen kiss to his cheek.

Noctis

He wouldn’t know how to feel, at first. Or probably, he feels so much that he can’t distinguish any of it as he catches you in the beam of his light and then rushes over. He’s been all concern and worry and frustration from the moment he figured out it was Ardyn, but the concern blows into something like panic when sees the cuts and bruises. He’s scared to death and assumes the worst, and the worry doesn’t lessen when that assumption is disproved. He’s not a healer, and he’s had everyone at his disposal out helping to look for you, so he helps you up and calls anyone over to help you too. He lends you his hand or shoulder as the wounds are treated, soothing you as much as possible.

You see the worry give way to anger later on in the night, when he has his arm around you in bed. His gaze is steady enough, directed at the ceiling, but you can nearly feel the waves of agitation rolling from him. He swears Ardyn’ll pay for this.

Prompto

He would drop the light upon spotting you, and trip his way over to you through the terrain. Even when he really does trip, lands hands and knees in the mud and muck, he crawls over to you and throws his arms around you and hugs you as tight as he can. It hurts, but it’s the best feeling you’ve experienced in maybe forever. Only then does Prompto notice the bruises, that loss of flashlight means he only notices up close and hastily releases you. He takes your hand or arm to help you up if you can, saying that he’s sorry and asking so many questions that you don’t have time to answer. You can barely understand him, because he’s trying so hard not to cry and failing. He was so worried that he’d never see you again.

He is clingy throughout the rest of the night (and following few days) but you don’t mind his warmth snuggled up against you at all. It helps to chase away the cold of the night.

Ignis

He keeps himself together well enough when he finds you, because he knows that you need his help right now. That doesn’t mean he isn’t a wreck. He drapes his jacket over your shoulders and inquires on the worst of your wounds and asks if there is anything else that he should know. He feels weak when you say nothing else happened, but he doesn’t show it save a reaction that might have been visible in his eyes if it wasn’t so dark. He gets you up and back to shelter and is silent and almost clinical as he takes care of your wounds himself.

He excuses himself afterwards to put the bandages and antiseptic away, so you don’t see him slump against the counter top to put his head in his hands.

You get cuddles with him, too, quiet words of encouragement about how strong you are and you fall asleep to the feel of him stroking your hair.

Gladiolus

He would be oh HELL no right from the very beginning. He would be the first one out searching and the last one back, going later and further than he’s supposed to do. He comes out with his own injuries from the brush he’s been pushing through. When he does find you, he sweeps you into his arms and marches you back to town.

He’s angry and it shows, damning Ardyn from the start. He gets frustrated trying to bind up your wounds himself before he has someone else do it because his hands are shaking and he’s so angry he doesn’t trust himself to be delicate. Any time you flinch makes it worse but he is quick enough to calm when he can wrap you in his arms (gently) and you can take his face in your hands and he can see and feel that you’re safe now. You fall asleep knowing no one asides him can reach you now.

Noctis

He would probably be a little awkward, both at the fact that he’s gotten injured enough to need to be taken care of (Ignis knows how injured Noct handles things, too) but plus, it’s you taking care of him. His cheeks are a bit red and he tries to brush off the injury. His awkwardness would come off as a bit sulky because he doesn’t know what to say, but he knows you need to do your job. And he can’t explain he’s thought about you touching him before, though not in this kind of situation, please. He thanks you sincerely afterwards, though, and has to tell the other three to can it before they can it even before they say anything. They are, however, all grinning at his embarrassment.

Prompto

“This is not a drill!” is not too far from the truth! This boy goes fire engine red from the moment he sees you walk in the room, and he’s thinking oh no oh no not her what do i say what do i do hahahah haha aaah and it comes out audibly with nervous giggles and stammered speech and you have to repeat yourself more than once on one occasion because he’s looking transfixed (binding a wound isn’t a big deal, but your hands are so small and delicate, oh nooo) and nervous. If the other Chocobros are in the room, he’ll look to Noctis for help, eyes practically screaming earlier aforementioned sentiments she’s touching me what do I do. (Noct is no help at all.)

Ignis

He gets very quiet and doesn’t react much at all. If you look closely, though, you think the tips of his ears are a very faint pink? But maybe that’s just your imagination. He doesn’t brush off his injury but instead says that he is certain that it will heal properly because you tended to him. He might touch your hand or arm in a show of gratitude (and for purely selfish reasons, too) and if it’s a really complicated wound he might actually bow to you. But he prefers the first, for those purely selfish reasons.

Gladiolus

Gladio would, unlike the other three, be straight up flirting with you. “I got injured just to see you, you know,” he’d say, or “so, you ever seen a wound this bad?” He’s not the cheesemaster, precisely, even though he’s throwing all these pick-up lines at you. He’s confident enough to use them and he isn’t embarrassed about it or the injury. Getting hurt happens. If he gets to be taken care of by such a capable and beautiful woman, well, he ain’t complaining. He might find a reason to linger a little longer and compliment you on a job well done and promise to come back soon.

Hello! I wish you good luck with this blog! You're right in saying slot of the imagines are inactive. It upsets me. Anyway here is my ask! Could I get an imagine where the chocobros significant other is captured by Ardyn and they can't do a thing to stop it and all they can do is watch with Ardyn being his usual 'charming' self about the whole thing? Noctis

Noct is beside himself with worry- and anger, both at Ardyn and at himself for not being able to do anything. He’s meant to protect his kingdom and he can’t even protect the person he loves. But self loathing will come later, after he’s made sure that you’re safe.

He recognizes that Ardyn is doing it just to get at him, to upset him (of course it works) but it doesn’t matter that he knows. He would try to fight at first, but failing that, deviates between lashing out and being compliant, seeing as how neither seems to be working and he just wants you away from Ardyn and he’ll do what it takes.

“You’d better not hurt them,” Noct says.

“Now now,” Ardyn replies, “let’s not ruin the suspense. A little begging would not go unrewarded, though, Noctis.”

To your surprise, and Ardyn’s delight, Noctis kneels.

Prompto

Prompto is unrestrained terror, big blue eyes staring at you in horror from start to finish. It doesn’t take long for the tears to start, which is what Ardyn’s after. Even before that, Prompto’s begging from the moment he sees this happen. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do to protect you, nothing.

Old insecurities flare up, though. What if he’s not capable enough? He’s always been the one out of place, barely able to do anything right in his eyes, and what if he isn’t able to protect you either? Gladio would be much better at it. Ignis probably wouldn’t have let this happen in the first place and Noct always took care of everyone else first.

“You cry so beautifully,” Ardyn tells him and although Prompto doesn’t react asides the continued litany of please, it makes your own blood boil.

Ignis

Ignis has a moment of sheer terror, and you watch it wash across his face. It’s probably unnoticeable to anyone else, but you know. Then he immediately takes the compliant side, asking all the right questions: what Ardyn has done, what he wants, etc while remaining calm. His attention stays laser focused on Ardyn.

Then he offers himself over to Ardyn instead, and the man looks shocked at the suggestion as though he didn’t expect it. Ignis weighs the pros of his capture like he’s reading off a grocery list.

“-advisor to the Royal-”

Now Ignis shoots you a look of concern, and Ardyn only laughs.

Gladiolus

Gladio fights tooth and nail from the beginning. Even if he can’t get to you, he’ll still try to fight his way there. Only if someone threatens you if he doesn’t stop, then he will, and he will glower the entire time. Keeping his cool, especially around you (or Iris, he will kick ass for her, too), isn’t an option. He’s seen his fair share of battles and he’d rather solve things with his fists than his words.

He doesn’t come off as non-threatening, which doesn’t help the cause. If it comes down to your safety, though, he will lay down his sword. He might even offer to take your place, too, if only (he says) so that Ardyn will have a fair fight.

“This is what you’re doing now, trying to ruin innocent lives?”

“We’re all innocent until someone does something bad. Besides, where’s the fun in being innocent, anyway?”

reactions after maintaining your safety:

Noctis: still on his knees as you rush over and throw your arms around him, he hugs you back and you can feel him shaking, when you say he doesn’t have to kneel for anyone he says he doesn’t mind if it’s for the people he loves, doesn’t say much more but just holds onto you like he had feared he might never get to again (which is exactly what he was thinking)

Prompto: still in tears, grabs onto you and doesn’t let go and you both cry into each other’s shoulders, he wants to make sure you’re okay but you just want to make sure he knows how grateful you are and make sure he’s okay too, he finds it silly but beams as you say he’s beautiful all the time too

Ignis: hands are shaking, hugs you tightly and the pulls back to go full on mother hen, wants to make sure you’re alright and everything but he’s talking so fast you can barely understand him (it’s the nerves, normally you’d think it cute) and you have to silence his worry with a peck to the lips

Gladio: tries to act annoyed for all of three seconds but then pulls you in and you’re nearly dwarfed by his body, dwarfed and protected, and he can’t promise that it’ll never happen again but he’s going to teach you how to fight in the event that it does because no one is going to hurt you
