TIM BRADFORD AND LUCY CHEN IN THE ROOKIE 4.18 “BACKSTABBERS” PROMO
The question is: does she know you love her this much, too?
I'm sorry you had a tough time, but sharing for sympathy votes isn't going to help either. It paints the entire fandom in a bad light.
That's...an interesting take lmao. I'd say 98% of the rookie and chenford fans that I've talked to are lovely and kind people, so I know the entire fandom isn't like that. Hell, I met one of my best friends because of the show and we talk every single day.
As far as the sympathy vote, if I truly wanted that, I could have shared the screenshots of the messages I received, or the passive aggressive posts in the tag, because they were fucking awful! Instead, I listened to the concerns, said an apology, and blocked those who were rude and not deserving of my time or energy. The anons apologizing are incredibly sweet to do so, but that's not something I asked for, needed, or expected! They're just kind, which proves that the entire fandom could never be painted in a bad light because random people who don't know me are taking time out of their own days to be encouraging to a stranger! I'll celebrate kindness like that any day.
I am so sorry to hear about your negative experience in The Rookie fandom. There are some kind people here, even if they are hard to find!
That’s so kind, thank you! I’ve found that the experience on twitter has been more positive for me ♥️
Oh no! Was it your cameo situation that made you feel uneasy with the fandom? No worries if you don’t want to comment on it but as someone who loved your feedback on that I’m so sorry if someone made you feel shitty about that :(
It wasn't actually! I have a difficult time remembering people's names - thanks ADHD lmao. Like, could not tell you the name of Nolan's kid or Nyla's ex, so I tend to give them nicknames when I bring them up or describe them like I did above. I gave a character on the show a nickname in passing, and it spiraled, leading to quite a few upset people who had strong feelings on the matter. Some people brought up their concerns kindly, while others were truly awful about it. So, I decided to take a step back!
Hello Eliza! I followed you for chenford and it makes me sad that you don't seem to love them any longer 😩
I'm laughing because you sent that as I'm on page thirteen in the chenford tag on AO3 lmao.
I do still love them, promise! This season has just been quite disappointing. The writing, the plot, the characterizations, the Bailey of it... it's all falling flat! If you search the tag, you can find people explaining why it's failing far better than I ever could. On the personal side, there was also some shit with the fandom that made me never want to speak about the show ever again lmao
Still here and rooting hard for some kind of progress this season, though! Thanks for checking in ❤️
would you mind spilling some details about how the eric and chenford cameo thing works? it would be a good xmas gift for my mom
Yeah, of course! Someone else let me ask eight million questions before I purchased and it meant the world.
I did it through cameos website. It was $80 when I did it, but the price has gone up since then! Seems like it might fluctuate based on demand. Part of it goes to charity! There are a few boxes after you click purchase where you say what it's for, then you have the opportunity to ask a few questions - the character limit was 150 - and there's another box for anything else you want him to know.
There's an option to keep the video he sends you private or have it shared on his public profile. I wanted to share the wealth or whatever, so I chose to have it be public. In retrospect, I would have kept it private instead. My friend told me that someone in the chenford tag called me buying the cameo unhealthy or something lol. I just did it because I was having a bad week and it was cheaper than a pair of shoes. That one comment ruined it a bit for me 🤷🏻♀️ just something to keep in mind!
Eric had it back to me in 48 hours!
If you're asking me I'd say there's enough chenford content for a new video now!
I absolutely adore your commitment to sending an ask like this after every single episode lmaooo
You're right, there is! I'm still knee deep in work, BUT I have an entire week off for Thanksgiving, and if Tim's family serves like I think they will - praying to the fucking gods above they do - then you have my word... I will make a new edit for them!
