There’s something so weird and mysterious about the way the film Dredd draws you in, though.
All you ever get is this one crazy, violent-filled night in the life of this one guy. And you never even see his face or know that much about him.
You don’t need a backstory or a sequel hook or an after credits scene or hundreds of millions of dollars in CGI. The glimpse you are given is more than enough.
And, yeah, Karl Urban should have been the new Batman just going on the astounding over-the-speaker speech scene alone.
IMO, only the hallway scene in Daredevil ever quite managed to tap into the frantic, nervous, scary energy of that film.

Jim: i have to warn u, im a slutty drunk ;) ;)
Bones: You're a slutty sober.
McCoy: Damnit Jim I'm a doctor, I deal in facts and figures and absolute medical science, not in the whimsical hoo-ha you just so happen to scrap off of some planet's surface each week that just so happens to look like it's got the flu.
Kirk, holding up the unicorn dog: Then what about this?
McCoy: Does it have a head cold?
Kirk: ......No?
McCoy: Then I don't have to deal with it and it doesn't exist.
“i may throw up on you” - Pisces, Capricorn, Libra, Virgo, Cancer, Taurus
“i think these things are pretty safe” - Aquarius, Sagittarius, Scorpio, Leo, Gemini, Aries
Bones: In another life you might have made an excellent criminal.
Kirk: And you, an excellent doctor.
if there is one thing star trek has taught me it’s that space is hella gay
jim: hey bones wanna go on an exciting mission?
