You were falling… falling… falling… before this. But now you're surrounded by a group of people, naked except for a blanket, with feathery wings twitching and spasming. So of course you scream.
The people around you begin talking, talking to you?, words unintelligible to your ears, sounding remarkably different from anything you've heard before. It took a door opening, with a sleepy man with ear wings entering for your screaming to stop, and instead start hyperventilating.
The man approached after a brief exchange with the brown haired man and your vision became rainbow tinted- "Hello there- my name is Sunday, you are safe here, you are aboard the Astral Express"
The- the Astral Express? From Honkai Star Rail? That should be impossible, you think, after all you didn't expect to be in a video game world. But well, it's a man with ear wings and interesting outfit- you certainly were either kidnapped by cosplayers or aboard the Astral Express.
It also explains the language barrier- after all how're you supposed to speak the same language as a bunch of people from space. It took the brown haired man (Welt?) barking at the grey haired man (Caelus?) to get something… at least that's what you assumed because he immediately ran to the other car to grab something. Meanwhile Sunday was gently caressing your hand, rubbing circles into its back in a way that's meant to be reassuring.
Caelus? comes back with a earpiece and hands it to Welt? who approaches and reaches for your ears. You flinch back, unsure of what's going on, and your vision turns rainbow again.
"This is a synesthesia beacon, it will translate for you- it's safe" Sunday tells you.
Which makes you extend a shaking hand to Welt?- and place the piece in your ear.
The sounds started to glitch, and shift more and more into something understandable.
"Can she hear us?" asked March?
"Yes" you say. Timidly, but keeping yourself calm and collected- so you don't fall apart.
"Yay!" Replies March- before Himeko steps in-
"Do you know who you are?" She asks, And to this, you do not know how to respond. After all, they are video game characters, they are not real… so trying to explain your world would be… difficult. Should you fake amnesia? Should you come up with a lie?
"I… don't know…" you say, which gets a big cheer from March, who says
"Yay! Amnesia twins!" While pulling you into a hug.
Which isn't the best feeling considering that you lied… but whatever, at least they're not having an existential crisis. You slowly make your way out of your pod, staring at the architecture of the Express, clutching the blanket around you for dear life.
It's Dan Heng who asks "Would- would you like some clothes?"
"…yes please?" You say, which causes him to rush off to grab some from his room. He comes back with a tank top and pants, both very soft, smelling of rain and earth.
"Is there a changing room anywhere?"
Which causes March to say-"Nope! but you can change in my room- don't worry just follow me!" She says while dragging you off into the other car, while the other Astral Express members watch
While you change in March's room, Welt gathers the rest of the members of the Astral Express to talk.
"What do you think of her?" He asks, which leads to everyone chiming in-
"I think that she's clearly in need of help" says Dan Heng, while Himeko adds on
"I think she seems very sweet,"
"She's hot-" says Caelus, but with a look from Welt he adds "And uh- sweet"
And Sunday finishes the discussion with "She resonates with the Harmony unlike anyone I've ever seen… it's quite unusual"
Which causes Welt to push up his glasses and sigh-
"I have a feeling there's more to her than meets the eye, I suspect that her presence is… awakening something within us that lied dormant for many years…"
"But that's not her fault?" says Himeko- advocating for you, which gets a nod from Welt.
"Of course not, she however is likely a victim to a broader scheme, after all… someone had to put her in space- in the pod- right next to us." Replies Welt, "Which is why I propose she comes under the Astral Express' protection. She is clearly very vulnerable, and we need to ensure she isn't taken advantage of.
Which of course gets a nod from Dan Heng, Himeko, Sunday and Caelus. Which of course gets Pompom to say "Does this mean Pompom needs to prepare a room for her? Cause we'll run out of good rooms soon"
"She can stay with me!" Dan Heng volunteers- which of course gets Caelus to reply, "Don't you sleep on the floor of the archive?"
"Yes but-!"
Himeko cuts Dan Heng off with-
"She'll take turns, we'll share her until we can ascertain she'll be safe alone- after all… haven't we agreed to protect her?"
Which gets Pompom to say "As long as I don't have to prep another room…"
It is then when you enter, with March 7th leading the way-
"and this is the parlor car! but you knew that hehe"
"hi…" you say, slightly shy from the intense gazes focusing on you. You blink- and they seem to break out of there stares, and into kind smiles,
"you look really nice-" says Dan Heng,
"thanks for letting me borrow your clothes" you say,
"anytime," he replies.
"We would like to officially welcome you to the Astral Express," says Welt, which makes you blink- that was… fast. You didn't expect them to take you in like that after all. But well… what other options do you have? You don't want to be thrown back into space after all…
"Yes… thank you" you say with a sense of foreboding…
"You awake on the Astral Express, right before they set off for Amphoreus. Somehow, you awaken long dead instincts in the Astral Express, who take you under their wing. You join their journey, attempting to change the fate of this world."
It started right off Penacony's atmosphere. Right after their adventure at Paperfold University and the adventure involving Sunday and Welt, a pod was drifting next to the Astral Express. Slowly getting closer and closer until- ding it lightly tapped the window getting the expresses' attention.
"Guys look! It's a pod! And it looks like someone is inside!" March 7th exclaimed.
"We should be careful- we don't know who this is or why the pod is floating through space, be on your guard" Welt says.
"But we are bringing it onboard right? The pod doesn't seem to have the capabilities to sustain life for long…" Dan Heng replies.
The rest of the express agrees, and they bring aboard the pod into the parlor car.
The person inside is covered by two white feathered wings, and face covered with wings right behind the ears, seen through the clear glass. It takes a little finagling from Himeko to open the pod, and revealed a slumbering figure inside.
"Woww…" March said, "She's beautiful!"
"She looks like an angel… do you think she's a relative of Sunday?" asked Caelus.
"We could ask- but this figure doesn't seem to be Halovian… no halo" replied Welt.
The figure began to stir, ears twitching and wings rustling, slowly revealing the full figure, completely nude.
The express stared at the figure, unconsciously unfurling itself like a blooming flower. It took a shocked yelp from Pom Pom however- walking by sweeping, for them to break out of the awed reverie.
Dan Heng was the first to act- his face bright red- grabbing a blanket on the couch to cover the figure. Once the blanket was delicately tucked around the figure, covering their nudity, the figure's fluttering eyes began to open and widen in shock…
