none of you are talking abt whiskey which truthfully is such a damn shame. she was introduced and i thought she was just supposed to be the dumb blonde girlfriend - arm candy. but then she ran into helen and we immediately see how badly she wants to do more, but she feels trapped to go along with what duke does in order to build her future. shes also the only person to look at helen, who she believes is andi, and say thats shes sorry, that she was fucked over and didnt deserve what happened. dont look at me and say this character wasnt fucking fantastic

no no no but what i think you’re ALL missing out on is that she perfectly encapsulates the lukewarm liberalism of the 20-something white woman. her whole thing is her image. she has to maintain appearance and thts as deep as her empathy goes. she is dating a misogynist, but stays with him for the exposure. she considers dumping him, not for the misogyny itself but in case she wants to go into politics. she will say empty words of empathy towards helen/andi in the bushes but wouldnt say anything in public 6 minutes earlier to support her where it matters. she also is the first to accuse helen/andi of murder, despite their purported camaraderie. shes just as calculating and subtly racist as the rest of them, but knows how to play her cards so she can play innocent at the end of the day, which is her plan from the jump. such strong cognitive dissonance it swings back over to duplicitousness. whisk(e?)y’s a perfect caricature of the perpetually online young white femme of average college age in the united states. its beyond dumb blonde, its wielding dumb blondness as a tool/weapon. i agree shes a great character but i wouldnt mistake her complexity for like morality and empathy

Post reveal tennis - but they’re not like, together (yet). HC that even post reveal, I think it would still be a slow burn. Anya’s confused but happy that they seem to be getting along fine… there’s no accidents so far.
