mack nodding for will to sit next to him but what’s driving me insane isn’t just that it’s the way he watches will walk over. that soft, satisfied little look on his face, something almost smug and fond at the same time, like he already knew will would come the second he asked but the worst part is realizing we’re basically watching will melt more and more into mack’s little whims in real time. the ipad moment??? will reaching for it, mack lightly slapping his hand away, and will just… retreating without even caring. like my god. the way he gives in so easily, the way he lets himself be guided like that. it’s genuinely a little insane to watch and yet at the same time. part of me keeps thinking that even with this spoiled, bratty, self-assured mack we see sometimes, there’s still a strange sense that he’s the one who’s a little bit at will’s mercy too. because imagine how dramatic and whiny he probably gets the rare times will doesn’t go along with what he wants. the irritation, the sulking. there’s something fascinating about that balance like mack can act like he has all the power, but only within the space will lets him have. which somehow makes the whole dynamic even more insane.
