Sucy Manbavaran [Commission for Hiroaki!]

I continue to experiment with cell shading and cool graphic shapes details in my artwork rendering, as I previously did with the Bocci Chibi, this time with a commission from Hiroaki, thank you for always supporting my work! I really enjoyed working on this Witch Academia project and found a way to play with vector inks so that the lines are smooth. <3 I'm working in a lot of stuff right now for myself and other clients, so stay tuned! :3

I just had an epiphany with the smudge tool in Photoshop while trying out this exercise from Kana-chan's painting course (a Chinese artist - kana_bgyjs in Twitter -) on the fabric section. I feel very happy with this (extra textures courtesy of nightshade). ☠️🖍️

Just wrapped up my first official VGen commission!

The request was for a Higgs Monaghan Shimeji, but I couldn’t resist making this animated wallpaper as a thank you bonus for the client. I did the base art in Clip Studio Paint and brought it into After Effects to get those sparks flying. This is a still frame of the animation, and I also provided them with a regular version and a longer screen phones version. This was really fun! The Particle God deserves a little flair, for sure, so I think the sparks fit the character and its look on the DS2 finale.

Hiro Wenli - Vtuber Logo commission!

Starting 2026 strong with a batch of new commissions!  I had the absolute pleasure of designing this logo for the lovely Vtuber Hiro Wenli (you can find him on Twitch)! 🧣🎩 For this one, I wanted to try something a bit different...instead of the usual cell-shading, I used painterly textures in CSP to give the colors more depth and a unique hand-crafted feeling. It’s meant to personify Hiro’s passion for Gundam, model kit building, and Gunpla in a fun, playful style.

Merry X-Mas!! ^^

Hoping everyone has a cool time this Christmas and holiday time! ᕕ(⌐■_■)ᕗ ♪♬ I made this for 00V2's lovely OC couple of Vihn and Bryde through this year's Vgen Secret Santa event and had a lot of fun in the process! Experimenting with all my interests, I incorporated 3D created on Blockbench and pixelart I drew on Aseprite into the scene, and later used my After Effects skills to enhance the original illustration with some cool effects and animations.

I made this just as a personal reminder that learning to master YOUR art is a task that takes a lifetime, and life is very short. Developing the judgment to know if your work is good is difficult, and experimentation is dangerous.

It’s wild to think that the ancient Greeks faced the exact same struggles that might also be a burden for us artists today. I often think back about this section and the rest of this phrase.

Sketching the menace of Hawkins to deal with my first-half-of Season 5 emotions. ✍️🕷️ I really wanted to capture that "wolf in sheep's clothing" vibe he has in this scene...he looks so polite here, but we all know what’s ticking behind those glasses.
