Isabelle Huppert in Merci pour le chocolat, 2000
I just saw Nightcap by Claude Chabrol, another Chabrol and Huppert masterpiece, I think this is my second favorite in that category. Number 1 is still La Cérémonie 🤷♀️
Michael Haneke
THE PIANO TEACHER (2001) DIR. MICHAEL HANEKE
I love that song “secreto de amor” by Joan Sebastian , but I just noticed one thing that somewhat just … kinda made me kinda mad for some reason? So the song is about a secret love, and in the lyrics he gives her a name, it’s a prominent part of the song the lyrics go
“What ever your name is to me you are Gloria” (which means glory) it sounds so different in Spanish, I keep wondering tho what would the song sound like from her point of view, Gloria’s … what would she refer to him as?
The thing is that, I’m such a clingy and possesive person, I’m the type of partner that would be like, sign here if you agree that you now belong to meeeee !!! 😁
It’s some sort of complex I have I think. I really like the concept of what’s mine is mine ~
Yes, be clingy. Yes, be obsessed with me. Yes, tell me about every little moment of your day. Yes, spam me with your selfies and your texts. Yes, ask to call me when you miss my voice. Yes, ask me to send you a picture because you miss my smile. Yes to all of it. Love loudly. Love without holding yourself back.
I hate this guy
HATE THIS GUY OH MY GOD

One of the most “eroticized” scenes in The Piano Teacher is perhaps my least favorite in the whole movie, I dread it, the scene I’m talking about is when Walter is reading the letter Erika earlier gave to him right back to Erika who is sitting in front of him.
At first you think “oh my god she’s a freak!” like yay! kinky! … but no, Erika thought she found someone she could share her, what she thought were true, desires with and then you see a total shift in Walter, he can’t believe the woman he thought he knew so well, the woman he was so attracted to, was actually someone so drastically different and well I could write a whole essay on the piano teacher I’m done now xD
Really pretty
