Self-discovery and Stuff
There is something about a Yellowstone Night. It is a powerful, familiar kind of something, wherein I recognize in that sea of glittering stars someone I’ve known my whole life, and someone I’ve never really known at all. I exhale soft white puffs of breath into those stars, and I take in the quiet. I take in the solitude. I wrap my arms close around me, and - more than those stars - I ache to understand myself. Some residual thoughts on Yellowstone ... until next season, anyway?

Holy hiking! If youda told me five years ago I'd be leading a ten mile hike into the Yellowstone backcountry and getting paid for it, I would have told you that it was craziness! Hell, I just did that today, and I'll still say it's craziness. But also, pretty cool. Osprey Falls:
