I’m watching the Pied Piper documentary finally and when Jared refers to Richard with, “He had the cool, confident swagger of a young Montgomery Clift with none of the private sexual misery– well, maybe a little.”

My jaw dropped because, uh, Montgomery Clift was closeted his whole life and……… to use HIS NAME as a REFERENCE to RICHARD and “PRIVATE SEXUAL MISERY.”

Richard was/is deeply repressed and closeted and you cannot tell me otherwise, and he loves Jared and post-Pied Piper they sort out their shit and live together eventually :)))
