Yesterday’s dinner! 👀 Wee little fried shrimp, sautéed cabbage, and my riff on Charleston red rice. Not insanely authentic since I made it Puerto Rican by adding sofrito but I did use Roger Wood sausage because that’s the only sausage that belongs in red rice. 😉 Surprisingly, this was my first time making red rice at home but I love that it always reminds me so much of the rice dishes I grew up eating. High five for a solid diaspora moment courtesy of my favorite kind of Friday takeout plate.
