Outdoor weddings in the stunning pergola, Â at the Manor Somerset
Thinking of an outdoor wedding at a luxury venue rather than just looking for a outdoor wedding venue then look no further. At The Manor Somerset outdoor weddings have arrived in style and our outdoor wedding ideas will leave you full of choice and style with that special Manor touch we are renowned for.Â
Many garden wedding venues offer a garden we offer meticulously styled gardens that keeps a rustic quintessentially English garden feel whilst allowing the ceremony and reception to enjoy every inch of our fabulous gardens.Â
As far as unique wedding venues in Somerset go we are the one you will love for many reasons : come see for your self!
Luxury wedding houses do not necessarily incorporate stunning gardens and at The Manor Somerset we are convinced the smile will be firmly about you as you walk down our pergola to the licensed ceremony space put there to meet the new demand for outdoor weddings.Â
For venues in Somerset there must be a handful that have the natural euphoric feel The Manor offers those wishing to wed outdoors.
HOW TO HAVE A BIRTHDAY PARTY TO REMEMBER
You work hard. You earn your downtime.
And now you’ve a big birthday coming up and you want to mark the occasion. (It’s probably got a 0 in it somewhere.)
One way to celebrate that you’ll remember is to take over The Manor Somerset for your exclusive use for a weekend or a few days when you’re free.
After all, what could be more welcoming than rolling up the driveway over the crunchy gravel, knowing that this stunning 13th century building is all yours for the next few days.
Invite your closest friends, bring your children and family and we’ll make sure you have a party to remember.
Tucked away in the depths of the Somerset countryside, you’ll be completely private.
You want us to lay on special entertainment for the kids? Nannies? Pony rides. Cookery lessons with the chef? Then that can be sorted.
A spot of shooting or fishing? Off-road driving? All in a day’s work for us. We can also organise spa-style treatments on site.
Come in after a bracing walk and we’ll serve a traditional afternoon tea by the fire. Then how about a snooze upstairs, a long relaxing bath before dressing for dinner and meeting for champagne and canapés downstairs.
Ah – dinner. Eat and drink as you wish – our Michelin starred chef will create a menu just for you.
And we’re very discreet. You’ll feel just as if you have the house to yourselves but we’ll be there in the background whenever you need us.
It’s just the sort of party you’ll wish you’ve been invited to – but you’ll be doing the inviting.
And we’re absolutely not a country house hotel. No other guests apart from whom you have invited. You can order a snack whenever you wish – have a midnight feast in the kitchen if you get peckish at 3am.
After dinner you can play traditional country house games. Maybe charades. A game of snooker. Card games.
And in the summer months you could play a spot of croquet in the garden.
If all this sounds just like you, then get in touch with us and tell us what you’re looking for …
A MICHELIN STAR CHEF IN DEEPEST SOMERSET
Michelin Accolades For A Young Chef
Josh showed his talent early on in 2003 by winning the Gordon Ramsay College scholar competition. He then went on to hone his skills by travelling the world – especially in the USA, Italy and France. He’s one of the youngest Michelin-starred chefs around and has always had a passion for food.
Isn’t he the kind of chef you’d like to cater for your exclusive event?
You choose the food you want at your party – have a heart to heart discussion with Josh beforehand to say what you like and what you’d like to offer. Josh will adapt your favourite dishes to suit you. For an ‘amuse’ you could present your guests with a Spider Crab Soup with Chilli or a Foie Gras Torchon with Pear & Ginger Chutney.
We make it a point to source locally produced ingredients which add that special dimension to your dinner or lunch.
But what does a Michelin star mean?
Anonymous reviewers visit restaurants and award stars on the basis of quality, the chef’s mastery and the consistent excellence of the food. One Michelin star denotes a very good restaurant – whereas three stars show that the cuisine is exceptional.
A Michelin star has no bearing on the décor of a restaurant or its location or even the service – it is purely awarded on the quality of the food. However we like to think that our surroundings are worthy of their own Michelin star – should such a thing exist. The Manor is a beautiful, old stone building with a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere that envelops you from the moment you arrive on the gravel driveway.
Organic Local Produce
We are situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and we take advantage of sourcing our produce from Somerset, Devon and Cornwall – whether it’s beef, fish or organic home-grown vegetables.
We may be secluded, tucked away in the Somerset countryside and it might be amazing to think that a Michelin starred chef works somewhere so quiet. But we have a culinary wizard waiting to cook just for you and your friends. We can’t wait to introduce you to Josh’s delectable food.
Our diners have told us that they think Josh’s cooking for The Manor should be awarded three Michelin stars. That would be an accolade indeed. At the risk of sounding boastful, we are rapidly becoming known in London as the ‘must go to’ exclusive use country manor house – whether you’re looking for a venue for a birthday, anniversary, corporate entertaining or an exclusive wedding.
So isn’t it time you paid us a visit?
