Basics (Expressive and Receptive PSI)
Told you I would start updating sooner. This time I’ll be covering the basics of expressive and receptive PSI. PSI itself is a term used to describe parapsychological phenomena, it’s synonymous with psychic and psychical.
Receptive and expressive represent two class of PSI. Expressive PSI tends toward affecting the environment around you, Receptive being to ability to gather information through non-mundane methods from the environment around you.
Receptive PSI - more commonly referred as extrasensory perception, it is the umbrella term for passive psychic experience such as, clairvoyance, remote viewing, etc. It is where the mind picks up in information from the environment, other minds or events. Examples of receptive PSI
Telepathy - refers to the awareness of emotions or information that belong to another mind.
Clairvoyance - refers to the collection of information from objects and events that is obtained without the use of the traditional senses. This includes remote viewing and psychometry.
Precognition/Retrocognition - refers to the ability to perceive objects and events from either the future or the past.
Expressive PSI - This is “mind over matter” also known as psychokinesis or PK. This is where a mind is able to have influence over events or objects at a macro or micro level.
Micro PK - refers to the ability to influence processes or objects with your mind on a micro scale, such as affecting the outcome of a random number generator.
Macro PK - refers to the ability to influence objects or processes with your mind on a macro level, such as moving a mug with your mind or bending a spoon.
There is one more major category of PSI, survival PSI, this is the category of PSI that apparitions fall under. It is the ability of a consciousness to survive bodily death and to be able to interact with others to an extent.
I will cover the link between survival and psi next time, I will go over both posts and will explain somethings that while simple very few people consider or even realise. It will be a fairly lengthy post so allow for a few days, i will if need be cut it into a 2 part post.
Thanks, and see you next time.
