I. Architecture that Exists in Both Eras
1. ‘Apartment 699’ Brookside Apartment (枕流公寓)
Location: No. 699, Huashan Road, Shanghai.
Background: It was built in 1930 and completed in 1931. It is located in the French concession. It is a 7-story square shaped building. Each floor has seven types of A-G suites, and there are two duplex houses on the top floor. Opening the window is a shared garden, covering an area of 4 mu. The architectural style is decorative art. Apartment 699 is still inhabited. According to the website shine.cn, the 90-year-old structure at 699-731 Huashan Road is considered one of Shanghai's best apartment addresses in the 1930s for its top-grade facilities and celebrity residents.
Plot: Sheng Qing Rang asked to rent here in 1932. Zong Ying also lived in this building in 2015, and the crossing started with an old lamp in this building.
2. Shanghai Ministry of Industry Bureau Building (上海工部局大楼)

Location: 215, 209 and 193 Hankou Road, Jiangxi Middle Road, Shanghai.
Background: It was basically completed in 1922. The Bureau of the Ministry of Public Concession Industry is the highest administrative authority in Shanghai's public concession. At present, Qingpu District Government is carrying out a comprehensive protective transformation, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
Plot: Sheng Qing Rang asked the place to go to work.
3. Huamao Hotel [Cathay Hotel]/Peace Hotel (华懋饭店 / 和平饭店)

Location: No. 20, East Nanjing Road, Huangpu, Shanghai.
Background: The Sassoon Building was completed in 1929. The former North Building Chinachem Hotel and the South Building Huizhong Hotel are now merged into the Peace Hotel. On August 14, 1937, Chinese fighter jets turned around and suddenly dropped two bombs, one blew up the roof of Huizhong Hotel and the other blew up a big hole in the road in front of Chinachem hotel.
Plot: The male and female protagonists are nearby, and there is a sense of shock. The eldest brother was injured in the attack and had his leg amputated.
4. Licha Hotel / Pujiang Hotel / China Securities Museum (礼查饭店 / 浦江饭店 / 中国证券博物馆)
Location: No. 15, Huangpu Road, Shanghai.
Background: Founded in 1846, it is one of the major foreign-funded hotels in Shanghai in the 19th and first half of the 20th century. It was changed to Pujiang hotel in 1959 and China Securities Museum in 2018.
Plot: Because the hotel was still in operation in 2015 and the location was stable, Sheng Qing Rang and Zong Ying opened their rooms here in 1937 and waited until they crossed.
5. Waibaidu Bridge (外白渡桥)
Location: The Bund, Huangpu, Shanghai.
Background: The dividing point between the concession area and the non-concession area during the August 13 Incident in 1937.
Plot: The hero and heroine experienced the August 13 Incident.
6. Nanjing Grand Theatre / Shanghai Concert Hall (南京大戏院 / 上海音乐厅)
Location: 523 Yan'an East Road, Huangpu, Shanghai.
Background: Shanghai Concert Hall, formerly known as Nanjing Grand Theatre, was built in 1930 with Western classical-style building design architecture. As the first professional music performance venue in Shanghai, coupled with its distinctive architectural style, Shanghai Concert Hall was once known as the "Paris Opera House in Shanghai". In the twenty-thirtieth centuries of the last century, the Shanghai Concert Hall first opened in the name of Nanjing Grand Theatre. For a while, it made a sensation. With its excellent architectural level and advanced facilities and equipment, it overwhelmed many other famous theaters in Shanghai and became the first theater in Shanghai to show foreign films. In 1950, Nanjing Grand Theatre was renamed Beijing Cinema, and in 1959, it was renamed Shanghai Concert Hall.

7. Sihang Warehouse (四行仓库)

Location: No. 21 Guangfu Road, Jing'an District, Shanghai.
Background: The Defense of Sihang Warehouse (Chinese: 四行倉庫保衛戰) took place from October 26 to November 1, 1937, and marked the beginning of the end of the three-month Battle of Shanghai in the opening phase of the Second Sino-Japanese War. It is now the Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall of the Sihang Warehouse.
Plot: On October 27, 1937, Zong Ying rescued Sheng Qing Rang.
II. Buildings that No Longer Exists
Location: 993 Huaihai Middle Road.
Background: It was renamed Qiantang building in 1950s and demolished in 1996.
Plot: The residence of Director Pang of the Accounting Department of the Ministry of Finance.
1. Huashan Hospital (复旦大学附属华山医院)
Location: 12 Urumqi Middle Road, Jing’an District, Shanghai.
Plot: The place where Zong Ying was born and went to work. It is estimated to be the only hospital near apartment 699 that can be reached by walking for more than ten minutes.
2. Family Mart Convenience Store (Huashan Road Store) (全家便利店 (华山路店))

Location: 620 Huashan Road, Jing’an District, Shanghai.
Plot: The 24-hour convenience store diagonally across the road from Huashan Hospital, Sheng Qing Rang crosses to a modern night and temporarily stay here.
3. Pudong International Airport Terminal (浦东国际机场航站楼)
Location: 900 Qihang Road, Pudong, Shanghai.
Plot: One of Sheng Qing Rang's time-travel points. In September 1937, the 8th group army defended Pudong and Sheng Qingrang crossed into the war zone.
4. Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway Yangcheng Lake Service Area (沪宁高速阳澄湖服务区)
Location: Wuzhong District, Suzhou.
Plot: Zong Ying drove Sheng Qing Rang back to Shanghai from Nanjing in 2015, where the two separated.
