It was love at first sight for Heidi Klum and Donna Karan Spring 2014 look 32! She wore the (one shouldered musk/black embroidered block printed stretch silk chiffon) dress and woven sandals that Karlie Kloss wore days earlier on the runway to the red carpet of America’s Got Talent Season 8 and is also featured wearing it in the actual episode 827. Heidi Klum is the first person to wear the new collection. The dress now off to Milan for market! Such is the life of an original sample!
Harvey Nichols S/S13- Birmingham's Most Stylish Show Just Got Bigger!
So it's nearly that time, time to see what Harvey Nichols Birmingham has in store for us this S/S13.
Renowned as the most stylish event in the city, the Harvey Nichols fashion show has proved such a success that this season it will be bigger and better than ever before.
The demand for tickets has been so high that the S/S13 event will be staged in the impressive Old Post Office at The Mailbox – where last year’s Style Birmingham Live was held – on Thursday March 21 and is expected to attract more than 400 guests.
Now in its eighth year, the Harvey Nichols style spectacular has gained an enviable reputation for having the most fashionable front-row in the city that includes regional sporting and media celebrities. It has become an absolute must-have on the fashionista’s calendar as the city’s most stylish store shows off the latest collections from the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Roberto Cavalli and Christian Louboutin.
“We are very excited that this will be the biggest and best show we have ever staged,” explained Richard Vickery, General Manager of Harvey Nichols. “It will be in the same venue that Style Birmingham Live was held last year because we felt it was the perfect setting for us to showcase our striking S/S13 collections.”

Style at the Grammys 2013: My top 4 Favorite Looks!
The Grammys took place in LA on Sunday, and of course I had to check out the red carpet style, here are some of my fave looks from the night.
JLO looked hot and very contemporary in this Anthony Vaccarello dress, loving the nails and jewls too!!
Bey looked very understated, elegant, & modern in a Osman Yousefzada monochrome jumpsuit.
Ri Ri looked beautiful in a custom made Alaia dress.
Solange owned this look! Love the colour combination of this emerald Ralph & Russo Couture gown and a beautiful pair of neon Louboutins.
So it looks as though the minimal pared back S/S13 trend was in full force on the red carpet at the Grammys this year, well done girls some inspiring looks X
I decided to watch the red carpet arrivals at the BAFTAs on E! earlier this evening and although I'm not a major follower of Paloma Faith I love embellishment, and Paloma certainly hit the mark with these beautiful Louis Marriette head pieces and a stunning Nicholas Oakwell gown.

I also just loved Thandie Newton's natural side swept tresses, nice to see Thandie rocking her curls on the red carpet!! Just as well as it was raining, then it started to snow...

Well first of all I must apologise for the poor image quality in this post, I had some camera issues during the event, but you should still be able to get the idea of how fab SBL 2012 was this year.
The annual Style Birmingham Live fashion and beauty shopping event took place on 29th September at The Mailbox. The event hosted an ‘industry’ style catwalk show featuring the latest autumn/winter styles and collections from across the city’s top stores... there were also various in store events happening around the city which was buzzing with shoppers!!
As a regular at the annual Style Birmingham event I was invited to the VIP finale show and after show party and brought along my friend Seemita, the show was packed full of the Birmingham's retailers, press and fashionistas. Before we took our seats we headed over to the Harvey Nichols Champagne bar and mingled with the stylish Birmingham crowd in anticipation of what the city had to offer this season.
Catwalk host Martine McCutcheon
The catwalk show was hosted by actress Martine McCutcheon followed by a style Q&A session with stylist Bradley Taylor.
The show kicked off with a fab audio visual of Birmingham's sights and sounds leading into the first scene Hide & Chic by Harvey Nichols: It was a fab surprise to see Olympic gold medalist Greg Rutherford making his way down the catwalk.
Scene two Geo Graphic showcased some of the key graphic prints for the season.
Scene four was full of this seasons key berry tones...
Scene five by Marks & Spencer was all about heritage fabrics and silhouettes.
Scene Eight Futuristic Glamour: Selfridges
And of course myself and Seemita took some snaps during the event.
Part Time: the live band had us all up on our feet dancing to some new and old school tunes!!

On Thursday 13th September Harvey Nichols Birmingham showcased their new season collections at the Mailbox Fashion Theatre, myself and fellow Brumie bloggers Emily Jayne Emma Lannarilli (Fashion Mommy) and Jennifer Walker attended the first showing. We were greeted by a truly autumnal setting with leaves scattered all over the red carpet we entered the fashion theatre (a full house) to a Champagne reception and took our front row seats, with cameras at the ready!
The event featured a desirable selection of the latest key A/W12 looks for both men and women.
Frankie McCamley from Radio WM opened the show in this stunning Sass and Bide dress!!
Key looks for women included luxurious gilets dressed up with heels or left effortlessly glam with leggings and booties.
Shearling gilet by Karl Donoghue, Malene Birger silk top, Paige Premium denim jeans and Alexander McQueen suede bootie.
We loved the Acne shearling jacket pictured on the catwalk and in store.
Gilet's can be dressed up for that smart casual feel like this fab Dom & Ruby gilet paired with Jeffery Campbell platform sandals.
And my fave look from this scene was the Escada sport gilet again dressed up for the catwalk for a glam feel, or styled with a light knit for a casual look.
A cute daytime Autumn look- Karl Donoghue shrug, M Missoni trench and Frye biker boots.
Jodhpurs and over the knee boots offer a classic A/W look!!
All shades of red are key for this season, love this perfect little red riding coat.
Second Day Cape a great piece to funk up a cute outfit.
T by Alexander Wang dress, Christian Louboutin Daffodile pumps and Alexander McQueen umbrella.
The occasion wear scene showcased some fabulous looks for the party season ahead, here are some of my fave dresses that I left the show dreaming about.

Following the catwalk there was an after-show party in store allowing guests to shop the new trends and enjoy complimentary Champagne and canapés.

So here it is Kgnston ft. Beenie Man with the new video ‘5 Cent’
Kgnston (Jacqui Edwards) from Kingston Jamaica is a graduate from Berkeley College New York where she still resides as a successful model with a true love of music.
I interviewed Kgnston at Caribbean Fashion Week in Jamaica last June, she filled me in on one of her projects with Beenie Man which was the creation of an uplifting party track called ‘5 Cent’ and now she has released her first video so she can “Spread the vibe”.
Kgnston told Beenie she wanted something different for this project, and she also recalled how this future hit was recorded within just 20 minutes. ‘5 Cent’ has a fresh island sound with a soul influence - Kgnston’s vocals are playful and fun alongside the “King of the Dancehall” Beenie Man, creating that perfect party vibe!
