Connecting to Heaven and Earth energy
Shaolin Archer exercise - sometimes we see the same exercise performed in a slightly different manner - it may be a slightly different movement or a different breath - the important thing is that you feel the movement - Where is the energy? Do you prefer one over the other?

Has Tai Chi and Chi Kung become watered down
I don't know how you feel but I believe that over the years Tai Chi and Chi Kung have become 'watered down'' down to a certain extent through instructor qualifications being given out too easily. Nowadays it seems that you can get really cheap on line courses which give a teaching diploma at the end. Also even if you do your course through a school it seems that the thinking is 'you've paid your money and turned up' so here is your certificate - surely this can't be right and eventually these two arts will become meaningless| So, all I am saying is that don't just jump into any class - find out where your teacher did their training and don't be fooled by someone who may 'talk the talk' but can't 'walk the walk'.
The 10 week Tai Chi course at the Studio - tips on following the videos ...
A real back to basics workshop - no mystery just good old fashioned exercises that you can take home and practise yourself and hopefully it will encourage you to take your Chi Kung training further.
Meditation and Mudras - my favourite mudra of thumb and middle finger together joins the will power of the thumb to the emotional well being of the middle finger. I must admit that when I was younger I couldn’t quite get my head around mudras but my Chi Kung and Acupressure training understanding the meridian (energy channels) in the body really opened up a new understanding.
When I started Tai Chi and Chi Kung many years ago someone asked if there was a special breathing technique we should be using - bear in mind we had only just began our journey and this was the masters’ reply.
Correct way to squat! many chi kung exercises require a squat which some people find difficult - this short video shows how to (and how not to) squat!
To know the difference between substantial and insubstantial or full and empty as it is a better known is one of the most important principles of Tai Chi training - it helps you to move freely from one move to the next without any ‘clunkiness’ (is that even a word!)
