Christmas! Here at the University we have absolutely no parental governance and therefore do dumb stuff. This was one of them. I filmed the whole process and edited it all together to create what I think is my best video yet. I have learnt a lot about video making from this and the projects before it. To ensure it is engaging - make sure you're doing something interesting. I will try to push out better content as I go along! Hoping I can whip up some enthusiasm for a 1.5 year uni review with the other two fools!

Life Update: 2.5 years later

Two and a half years since my last post. Damn.

It seems like just yesterday that I was first messing about with tumblr, initially a logical expansion for the Three Fools to another platform. I would like to say that my relationship with tumblr has developed into so much more. Seems not though.

Talking of the Three Fools, what has come of this enterprise?

Well, for two years it lay dormant, waiting. We had bigger things on all of our plates, A-levels, social lives and so on. However, for the past half a year there has been a significant change in all our lives. Uni! All three of us have split and been distributed across the UK into our respective universities. And whilst we have unanimously knuckled down and focused on our academic work, we have also found ourselves with marginally more free time, confidence and most importantly motivation. Motivation to not only produce videos and content but also to give others, potential viewers, a look at university life in all our different universities. Uni vlogs are a pretty common thing and hence the market is pretty saturated. However, we think that perhaps there are still areas left untapped.

Notably all three of us are doing science degrees, allowing us to give a typically more rare insight to the life of a science student. We also will be able to contribute from across three different universities, pooling our experiences and making a more generalised take on uni life.

We have uploaded a few videos however the ball has yet to start rolling, hopefully that is set to change during our second year of study!

YouTube Sexual Abuse

The YouTube sexual abuse news frightens me greatly. Whether news is the right word to adequately describe what has been unveiled I cannot say, I spent a lot of time deliberating which word to use. I think this is mainly due to the fact that I feel that what has happened shouldn't be sensationalised, it shouldn't end up with a newspaper article condemning YouTube and the creator - fan relationship. Instead it should end with justice. With those who are guilty facing their punishment and with improved awareness meaning that this doesn't happen again. Please do refer to posts by Hank Green for a more aware and informed take on this.
