Exhausted Introvert
Have you ever just felt so emotionally and socially drained that your body feels heavier physically? That it’s difficult to move, breathe, speak?
That’s how I feel.
I have no idea how I got such an extroverted job when I’m so painfully introverted. Can we talk about how hard it is to be an introvert in the workforce? It’s e x h a u s t i n g. Especially if your job relies on being social(like mine).
The couple days that I do have off is the time where I need to be buried under blankets, reading a book, playing a game, anything that doesn’t have to involve verbally speaking. Which kinda sucks because when my friends want to get together, I reject their invitation with them each week so I can have my down time but if I blow them off too many times it will hurt their feelings, so socially drained me will go hang out-albeit enjoying the time with them-but then I’m even more drained and then it’s time to go back to work the next day.
I’m just tired.
