So I tried making bread this week, because why not and I recently found out how simple bread is from this post by Snappydoodle and thought 'how hard could it be? The idea is there.'
I've made bread on a handful of occasions. All of them could be eaten, just not for much nutrients. Hard as a rock, and tasted like one as well.
So I'm in the process of the dough rising. Here's what it looks like:
I know your first thought was "ITS PINK!" (Milage may vary.) If you don't see a pink blob in a bowl, go get checked for colorblindness. But yes folks, I made it using gatorade! Specifically red gatorade. Cause why not? I'll keep yall up to date on the Gatorade bread testing.
Update! I had not enough yeast (added a teaspoon initially) so I added the rest of the package I also had under floured it, so I added about 3/4 to a pound of flour more. All in all, I have absolutely no clue how much I added of each ingredient.
After adding so much flour, I added even more flour after it all rose again. I then kneaded the dough until there was flour in the air and enveloping my lungs.
Here's the dough baby and the bowl it came from <3
And now, onto the 3rd (maybe 4th or fifth???) rise and I'll keep yall posted!
