Oh hi! Welcome to my little project, the TS Zodiac. This started on Threads just as a fun exercise, going through each of Taylor Swift's albums and assigning one song to each of the zodiac signs, but I thought I would collate everything in one place.

I'm not a professional astrologer by any means, so I hope my choices and explanations make sense. And if you don't like the songs I’ve picked for your sign, that's okay! The zodiac signs are all so nuanced and Taylor's songs are so layered that it's virtually impossible to pick something 100% perfect. And I know how passionate people get about their zodiac signs and favourite Taylor songs.

There is a huge planetary alignment happening right now! August 12th is the peak date, as it coincides with the New Moon solar eclipse AND the Perseid meteor shower.

This would be the perfect cosmic timing for a Debut TV announcement so let’s break it down.

MERCURY

Moving through: Leo

Core themes: communication, announcements, news, information

Mercury rules messages, announcements and reveals. In Leo, it communicates with confidence and flair. If you’re in the clown car for “something big is about to be announced”, Mercury in Leo is in the driver’s seat.

Moving through: Cancer

This is the wildcard. In Gemini, the sign of communication, information and media, it can bring sudden news, unexpected announcements and information arriving out of nowhere. Sound familiar? 🤡

Moving through: Aries

Core themes: imagination, ideals, vision

Neptune in Aries combines dreaming with initiation - this is imagining a future and then pursuing it while dissolving old versions of your identity. Neptune can make things hazy though, which reminds us not to buy into every rumour, however tempting!

NEW MOON

The planetary alignment coincides with a New Moon and total solar eclipse in Leo. The eclipse symbolism here is especially potent for themes of endings, beginnings, visibility and major shifts in direction.

PERSEID METEOR SHOWER

Meteor showers aren’t traditionally classed as planetary transits but we’d be remiss to ignore the symbolism here. A shower of shooting stars named for a legendary hero, reaching their peak during a six-planet alignment, a New Moon/solar eclipse, and they’re created by falling debris from a comet literally named Swift-Tuttle. The symbolism practically writes itself.

Aries - Picture To Burn “So watch me strike a match on all my wasted time, as far as I'm concerned, you're just another picture to burn”

This song is impulsive, loud, petty and overdramatic - very teenage Aries. It immediately opens with confrontation, because they don’t have time to wait around stewing in their feelings. There’s no filter either, which is something Aries is famous for - they’re not usually one for hidden meanings or manipulation. Underneath their confidence and confrontation, let’s not forget they’re the baby of the zodiac. They can be very sensitive to criticism or rejection, so this song is perfectly suits an Aries who’s ego has been wounded and they’re going to tell you in the most straightforward way possible.

Taurus - Mary’s Song (Oh My My My) “I'll be eighty seven, you'll be eighty nine, I'll still look at you like the stars that shine in the sky”

Taurus don’t tend to start relationships with fireworks and obsession - the love in this song grows naturally and patiently over an entire lifetime. As a fixed earth sign, Taurus is deeply connected to the physical world - there’s beautiful imagery here of childhood houses, front porches, gardens, weddings, creek beds. All very understated Venusian beauty. There’s no sense here of the narrator exploring any other possibilities either, just two people consistently choosing each other - there’s no sign that values loyalty and consistency quite like a Taurus.

Gemini - Stay Beautiful “And when you find everything you looked for I hope your life leads you back to my door, oh but if it don't… stay beautiful”

Geminis tend to be absolutely fascinated with people - and Stay Beautiful is a great representation of that. The whole song is a collection of small observations about someone - perfect for a sign ruled by Mercury which governs the way we process our environment (both mentally and visually). There’s a very airy lightness to the song, Gemini isn’t trying to change their crush, or even be with them. They’re content to observe and be captivated by them without being completely consumed by them. They’re often very attracted to individuality and uniqueness, and here they’re saying, just stay yourself, stay beautiful.

Cancer - Tim McGraw “When you think Tim McGraw, I hope you think my favorite song, someday you'll turn your radio on, I hope it takes you back to that place”

Oh this song is just absolutely full of romantic nostalgia - perfect for Cancer. It’s a memory preserved in a song, and the black dress, the moon, the box of letters… they’re all emotional anchors to that memory. Ultimately even if the relationship is never rekindled, Cancer still wants to be remembered fondly and to be reassured that the relationship actually mattered and meant something. While we could easily assign this dreamy track to Pisces or Taurus, this is Cancer remembering something exactly as it was. It’s soft, vulnerable and deeply personal.

Leo - Invisible “You just see right through me but if you only knew me, we could be a beautiful miracle”

This song captures an often overlooked side of Leo - while they’re known for their confidence, this song is the pain of a Leo who feels like their light isn’t being seen. They don’t necessarily always chase attention or fame, underneath it all they just want to feel special to someone, and as a fixed sign, once their heart chooses someone they can find it difficult to casually detach. This isn’t them saying, I’m amazing just look at me, this is a Leo saying, I’m know I’m special, I know we could be something special, why haven’t you seen that yet?

Virgo - Tied Together With A Smile “And no one knows that you cry, but you don't tell anyone that you might not be the golden one”

Virgo is the sign of care, service, and improvement, but that often means they believe everything, including themselves, needs to be fixed. This song is about someone who appears completely put together, but underneath they’re struggling. What’s interesting here is that Virgo actually could relate to both sides of this song.They’re usually the person giving everyone else advice about self-worth while quietly falling apart and being the harshest critic of themselves. They’re person in the corner noticing everything, carrying everyone else’s problems, and forgetting that they deserve the same kindness they give away.

Libra - I’m Only Me When I’m With You “And I don't try to hide my tears, my secrets or my deepest fears, through it all nobody gets me like you do”

This is such a sweet choice for a baby Libra. They often discover parts of themselves through meaningful connections - friendships, familial ties and romantic relationships. This song is about the rare person who they don’t have to perform around, which highlights just how aware Libra can be of how they come across to others. For a sign stereotyped to have such people pleasing tendencies, this song is not simply losing yourself in someone, it’s finding a relationship where you can express yourself freely and still be loved.

Scorpio - Should’ve Said No “I can't resist, before you go tell me this, was it worth it? Was she worth this?”

We’re jumping right into it for Scorpio - they don’t do things halfway or enter relationships lightly. So when someone betrays them, it isn’t just, you hurt my feelings. It’s, you violated my trust. The main focus here isn’t the heartbreak, it’s heavily focused on the choice that the other person made and the consequences of that choice. There’s not even a single chance of reconciliation because Scorpio has an almost psychic ability for seeing through people’s lies and excuses. This song is the defensive sting of someone wounded whose trust has been broken.

Sagittarius - A Place In This World “Feeling lucky today, got the sunshine, could you tell me what more do I need? And tomorrow's just a mystery, oh yeah, but that's okay”

Sagittarius often gets saddled with the stereotypical “they like to travel” characteristic, but it goes much deeper than that. This song is someone searching for meaning, which is a much more accurate way of interpreting them. The narrator is searching, quite literally, for their place in the world. Sagittarius doesn’t usually get frustrated by not having all the answers immediately, because they recognise that the journey is a fundamental part of finding the answer. This song is Sagittarius beginning to explore life on their own terms.

Capricorn - Cold As You “Just walk away, ain’t no use defending words that you will never say”

It might seem odd to be assigning Capricorn the first of many devastatingly emotional track 5s because they tend to be quite reserved, but let’s take a closer look. Yes it could work as a heartbreak song for one of the water signs, but looking at it through a Capricorn lens tells us it’s about standards in a relationship. They take respect very, very seriously - the narrator here isn’t saying, you didn’t love me enough, they’re saying actually, you treated me like shit and I deserve better than that. They require honesty, reliability and effort in a relationship, and if they don’t get that, they’ll walk away even if it hurts.

Aquarius - The Outside “I tried to take the road less travelled by, but nothing seems to work the first few times, am I right?”

Aw baby Aquarius. This song suits them perfectly as they so often view life through a wide lens, or feel that they’re watching life happen through a window. They might feel like they’re different to most people - this song is the beginning hints of Aquarius’ need for individuality above all else. They’re also not trying to force themselves in, and it’s not that they don’t care about fitting in or that it doesn’t hurt when they don’t, rather that this song is them watching life unfold from the edges, trying to understand where they fit in.

(Second choice: A Place In This World)

Pisces - Teardrops On My Guitar “He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar, the only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star”

Pisces naturally gravitate towards their dreams and imagination to help them process things, and this song is the perfect jumping off point for them. They also have a great capacity for loving even when that love isn’t returned. And there’s no malice towards their crush, the narrator is well aware he loves someone else - rather than anger or confusion, there’s a quiet devastation here that’s very Piscean. They often put someone else’s happiness before their own too, since empathy tends to come so naturally to them. This song is a Pisces heart loving deeply and quietly.

Fearless is about taking the leap into growing up, heartbreak, hope, and friendship and finding the courage to feel everything anyway. It captures the zodiac at its most open-hearted - optimistic, adventurous, romantic and resilient - with each sign bringing its own kind of bravery to the thrill and uncertainty of finding out who you’re supposed to be.

Ok I can already hear people yelling that Aries should get Fearless, and yes, but hear me out. Aries isn’t going to be swayed by something comfortable. On paper, the guy is perfect but Aries can’t stop thinking about the relationship that made them feel alive. It’s not that they want drama necessarily or that they dwell on the past, but they crave energy, chemistry, and the challenge that a relationship can bring. This song doesn’t celebrate toxicity, but rather mourns the loss of overwhelming passion… and being so in love that they act insane.

Taurus - Hey Stephen “Of all the girls tossing rocks at your window, I'll be the one waiting there even when it's cold”

This song is a much softer depiction of Taurus than we might expect. They’re patient in love, and often are willing to wait for someone to quietly realise they’re the right choice. It’s not just, I have a crush on you, there’s a real sense here of Taurus calmly waiting to build something real. It’s not just, hey maybe we should be together, it’s Taurus saying, nobody else could give you what I can. There’s no grand declarations of love or overdramatic confessions in this song, just consistency, quiet devotion, and confidence without needing to make a spectacle.

(Second choice: Jump Then Fall)

Gemini - The Other Side of the Door “I keep going back over the things we both said, and I remember the slamming door and all the things that I misread”

This is Gemini’s planetary ruler, Mercury, in song format. It’s a stream-of-consciousness collection of thoughts, memories, arguments and reconciliations - the narrator wants to leave, but doesn’t, they argue, they leave, they regret it. This isn’t indecisiveness, it’s emotionally processing a chaotic relationship through language and conversation. Geminis often constantly run an internal dialogue in their heads and this song is literally someone arguing with themselves for four minutes, even after the door has been slammed shut.

Cancer - Fifteen “But I’ve found time can heal most anything, and you just might find who you’re supposed to be”

This song isn’t just about the experience of being fifteen years old, this is looking back on adolescence with compassion and wisdom. Of course a Cancer would want to protect someone from the heartbreak they’ve already lived through, because they’re not only addressing their younger self but everyone else too. We see the beginnings of Cancer’s incredible capacity for turning painful memories into gentle guidance. Wisdom earned through experience is Cancer to a tee, and we thank them for their service.

Leo - You Belong With Me “I know your favorite songs and you tell me 'bout your dreams, think I know where you belong, think I know it’s with me”

We’re building the lore here, okay? Although Leos can have a tendency to get jealous quite easily, if we look a little deeper we can see this song is really about wanting someone to see your worth. When they’re feeling their best, Leos absolutely know their worth, and they’ll wait… for a little while. They know someone will choose them, and that’s not arrogance, that’s their confidence starting to shine. Also You Belong With Me is one of Fearless’s most iconic songs, and if there’s a sign who deserves to enter every room in a shower of gold, it’s Leo.

Virgo - Tell Me Why “Why do you have to make me feel small, so you can feel whole inside?”

Virgos can sometimes be reduced to labels such as organised, or perfectionist, but this is because they tend to be very analytical, observant, and have very little patience for things that just don’t make sense. They’ve got standards, okay? And someone deliberately undermining a Virgo when they’re busy with their personal growth? Absolutely not, go straight to jail. Theres no real explosive drama here, but this song is definitely a four minute interrogation by a Virgo wanting to hold someone accountable for what they did.

Libra - White Horse “I was a dreamer before you went and let me down, now it’s too late for you and your white horse to come around”

This song is what happens when the rose-coloured glasses come off and the fairytale Libra dreams of comes crashing down. It’s a painful, but graceful, realisation and acceptance. There’s no calculated revenge plot, the narrator isn’t lashing out or hurt someone back, there’s only a desire for balance and for someone to treat them the way they treat others. For Libra, love should be a mutual, equal partnership. And it’s a track 5 so we’re definitely having an emotional crisis but in a very aesthetic, very Libra kind of way.

Scorpio - You’re Not Sorry “You got your share of secrets and I’m tired of being the last to know”

The entire premise of this song is so Scorpio coded - this is someone who’s realised they’ve been betrayed, and they’re done believing the lies they’re being told. Scorpio’s intuition is almost second to none, and more than that, they tend to value emotional truth over almost anything else. Someone offering an insincere apology isn’t going to cut it for them. And Scorpios absolutely can forgive and give someone a second chance, but once they hit their limit? You don’t have to call anymore. We’re done.

Sagittarius - Fearless “I don’t know why but with you I’d dance in a storm in my best dress, fearless”

I love the title track for Sagittarius. This song isn’t about having no fear at all, it’s about feeling the fear and being willing to live life and take the risks anyway. And this isn’t just a blind leap of faith, it’s about the meaningful something that comes after making that leap. And Sagittarius isn’t going to stop to ask questions, they’re just excited to be chasing the next experience. They’re diving headfirst even when things might be uncertain with that classic Jupiterian optimism. It’s raining? Let’s dance in the storm anyway.

Capricorn - Forever & Always “Was I out of line? Did I say something way too honest? Made you run and hide”

This might not seem like a very typically Capricorn choice because it’s a very heartbreaking song and they tend to be quite emotionally reserved on the surface. So let’s look at it a little deeper. We’re not saying Capricorns can’t be heartbroken, but the key here is someone saying something matters then acting like it doesn’t. The future they were building with someone suddenly disappears. And someone treating a serious promise like it was something temporary? Caps around the world take that incredibly personally. And they’ll tell you to your face.

Aquarius - Change “It’s a revolution, the time will come for us to finally win”

We’ve looked briefly at the Aquarius tendency to view life through a wider lens, so this song makes perfect sense for them. Again, this isn’t just them being different or quirky, they’re busy challenging the entire system. They have a strong relationship with the idea of the collective, especially when they get to be the underdog and stand against something bigger than themselves. It builds nicely on Aquarius’ rebellious streak, idealism, independence, and their belief that impossible things can become possible.

(Second choice: Mr Perfectly Fine)

Pisces - Breathe “People are people and sometimes we change our minds, but it's killing me to see you go after all this time”

This is Pisces turning a breakup into cinema. Beyond the stereotype of “Pisces cries all the time”, they’re processing their grief quietly and with empathy herr. They understand that endings can be complicated, especially when you still hold love for the person who’s hurting you. And this isn’t emotional weakness, in fact it’s the opposite. It’s a slow acceptance of the fact that sometimes things can’t be controlled, and you can’t always change someone’s mind. Even if their heart says they don’t know how to exist without someone, their soul says they will eventually.

Speak Now is all about finding your voice - saying what you mean, taking risks, rewriting the ending and refusing to let the important things go unsaid. It captures the zodiac at its most expressive - impulsive, dramatic, and unapologetically honest - with every sign finding its own way to step into the spotlight and finally say what’s on their mind.

This song perfectly captures that impulsive attraction where the warning signs are there, but the thrill is too strong to ignore. They want to know what happens when the sparks catch into a fire.

Taurus - Timeless “And sometimes there's no proof, you just know you’re always gonna be mine”

This song carries such a strong undercurrent of endurance, perfectly encapsulating that stubborn, steadfast loyalty and devotion that only a Taurus can bring. It can take them a while to commit, but once they do, they’re there for all time. They don’t tend to fall for fleeting moments - they value connections that feel lasting, meaningful, and built to withstand anything life throws at them. Timeless captures their belief that true love is worth preserving, protecting, and choosing again and again.

Gemini - Speak Now “Don’t wait or say a single vow, you need to hear me out and they said speak now”

Okay, actually hear me out here. This is one of the most outspoken, witty, chaotic, and restless songs on the album, which makes it feel incredibly Gemini. If anyone is going to crash a wedding, dramatically make their feelings known, and turn the entire situation into a story they’ll tell forever, it’s probably a Gemini. They’re saying their piece, making sharp observations, and absolutely side-eyeing the cupcake dress because honestly, what even is that? They don’t always know when to stay quiet, but they always know how to make an entrance.

Cancer - Last Kiss “So I’ll watch your life in pictures like I used to watch you sleep, and I’ll feel you forget me like I used to feel you breathe”

Looking at heartbreak through the lens of nostalgia is an incredibly Cancerian move. They aren’t just grieving the person, they’re grieving the entire experience - the little moments, the memories, and the version of themselves that existed within that relationship. Cancer holds onto emotional history like a scrapbook, replaying the details because they mattered. They tend to forgive because they understand people are complicated, but they’ll never truly forget how someone made them feel.

I can already hear the screaming for Long Live as the Leo choice, and I know this might be a controversial pick, but Mean is the perfect song for a Leo whose pride has been wounded. Leos can be incredibly confident, but underneath that confidence they can also be surprisingly self-critical. When someone publicly criticises them or tries to diminish them, their response is often, actually I’m going to prove you wrong. And when Leo does prove themselves? A lack of the stability and understanding they crave makes them stop and go, wait what happened? Why are we here? This song captures that quiet frustration of someone trying to fix a connection they never wanted to lose.

Libra - Enchanted “This night is sparkling, don’t you let it go, I’m wonderstruck, blushing all the way home”

Possibly the quintessential Libra anthem? Enchanted is everything Libra loves about romance - a magical first meeting, a sparkling connection, witty conversation. Libra is ruled by Venus, so they’re drawn to beauty, charm, and relationships that feel meaningful and almost destined. This is romance in its highest form - an unforgettable evening filled with chemistry, elegance, and possibility… then staying awake until 2am wondering if they felt the same way. It’s the perfect Libran blend of fantasy and hope.

Scorpio - Haunted “It’s getting dark and it’s all so quiet and I can’t trust anything now”

Scorpios love deeply, but they also lose deeply. Casual attachment doesn’t exist in their vocabulary - when they let someone in, that connection leaves a mark. I love this pick for Sagittarius so much. Again, we’re building on that theme of optimism, adventure, and pursuing something potentially risky because the payoff feels like it could be completely worth it (which seems to be a running theme for our fire signs!) State Of Grace embraces the idea of handing a relationship over to fate and trusting that something bigger is at work. Their planetary ruler, Jupiter, is naturally drawn to possibility and luck, so when Sagittarius is willing to take the leap, Jupiter just says “I’ve got this handled”.

We’ve talked extensively about Virgo and their relationship with communication, and exile might be one of the most Virgo-coded heartbreak songs in Taylor’s catalogue. On the surface, it’s a breakup duet, but underneath it’s filled with pattern recognition, miscommunications, and two people who are interpreting the same situation in completely different ways - all themes closely tied to Virgo and their Mercury rulership. If our previous album choice, Afterglow, is about Virgo seeking to fix something, exile is Virgo when that something is irreparable.

Personally for me this is one of Taylor’s strongest Libra-coded songs. Libra often gets labelled simply as a people pleaser - but let’s look a little deeper than that. They strive for harmony, which sometimes translates as, I want everyone around me to be happy even if I have to change myself to do that. A mirrorball reflects light, and a Libra will often naturally adapt themselves to different people. This isn’t because they’re fake or because they don’t know who they are, it’s because they’re just really, really good at making other people feel seen.

Scorpio - mad woman “Does a scorpion sting when fighting back? They strike to kill and you know I will”

We’ve talked about how Scorpios feel everything with incredible intensity, and this song explores what happens when someone tries to weaponise those emotions against them. Sagittarius’ ruling planet, Jupiter, is associated with exploration, and while people often interpret that as a literal love of travel, it also speaks to their love of experiences, growth, and meaningful moments. august captures the Sagittarian ability to embrace something beautiful without needing to possess it forever. They understand that some connections are meant to be chapters rather than entire stories, and that doesn’t make them any less valuable. To “live for the hope of it all” feels almost like Jupiter’s personal motto.

While many people assign this song to one of the water signs, I think a really strong argument can be made for Aquarius. They have a reputation for being emotionally detached, but let’s look at that as self-protection. They very rarely let people in, so when they do and that person breaks their heart, suddenly that self-protection collapses into total disillusionment. They haven’t just lost a relationship, they’ve lost their belief that this one was different.

I feel like this is going to be a love it or hate it choice (but as an Aries it’s one of my personal favourites). closure is a great representation of an outright refusal to let someone try and rebuild a bridge to repair a relationship, and Aries is famous for burning bridges. They tend to excel at setting boundaries, so even though the song itself is a bit chaotic and messy, Aries don’t lose their power here. It chooses independence over reconciliation, reinforcing boundaries over accepting a fake or insincere apology, retaining their autonomy over letting someone else dictate the terms. They’re fine with their spite.

Taurus - ivy “My house of stone, your ivy grows, and now I’m covered in you”

This might be the most natural pick on the entire album - the song is practically rooted in fixed earth energy. If we set the affair aspect aside and focus on the imagery and metaphors, ivy grows slowly, patiently, and almost imperceptibly. By the time you notice it, it’s already established, deeply rooted, and incredibly difficult to remove. That’s how love often grows for Taurus. As a fixed sign, Taurus is deeply resistant to change, so there’s something beautifully fitting about the tension between an established, secure life and a love that quietly keeps growing regardless. Taurus doesn’t always chase love - sometimes they simply realise it has already taken root.

Similar to my folklore pick for Gemini, this song feels like a conversation with a friend over coffee or cocktails. Gemini also shares a planetary ruler with Virgo, but where Virgo is methodical and quiet in their communication, Gemini is fast-moving and witty - which is exactly how this song feels. It’s charismatic storytelling rather than an introspective examination. And we’ve all probably had a conversation with a Gemini where they said “long story short” then monologued for 4 minutes straight.

Cancer - ‘tis the damn season “The road not taken looks real good now, and it always leads to you and my hometown”

Cancer is ruled by the moon, which governs (among other things) memories, childhood/adolescence, and the concept of home. This song is the perfect combination of these three elements. I fear I’m repeating myself but this is another great example of Cancer attaching specific memories to people and places, and drawing emotional comfort from those memories. Nostalgia? Check. Returning to their hometown? Check. Finding comfort in familiar things? Check. They’re even willing to enter into something they know is temporary simply due to the emotional weight it carries.

Leo - champagne problems “One for the money, two for the show, I never was ready so I watch you go”

We’ve been exploring some unconventional choices for the signs during this project, and this one is no exception. But hear me out, champagne problems is arguably evermore’s most cinematic song - there’s a public proposal, expensive champagne, a dramatic rejection… it all gives off a very main-character energy that feels distinctly Leo. They are incredibly warm-hearted and compassionate people, and there’s a distinct thread of guilt that runs through the song - an evolved Leo will continue to care about someone even if they’re the one causing the hurt. (I’d be remiss not to also mention the fact that the champagne problems performances got the longest applause during the Eras tour. Do with that what you will.)

We’re starting to examine the shadow sides of some of the zodiac signs, and right where you left me is a prime example of the endless, exhausting loop that Virgo can sometimes end up in. For a sign so connected to routine and progression, finding themselves mentally stuck at the table while time passes around them is a uniquely Virgo nightmare. We’ve made other choices for them based on them desperately wanting to understand why things are the way they are, so what happens when they can’t stop examining some unresolved? They’re still at the restaurant.

This song makes a beautiful callback to my Fearless assignment for Libra. We’re going through another breakup and we’re still processing it in a very aesthetic, Venusian kind of way. We’ve talked a lot about the balance and harmony that Libra represents - this song explores the idea that two opposing statements can be true at the same time. Some Libras may avoid conflict altogether, but this is Libra at their most emotionally mature - sitting with the contradiction, acknowledging the hurt without erasing the love, and accepting that something can have been beautiful and painful simultaneously. It’s heartbreak, but beautifully balanced.

Scorpio - willow “Wait for the signal and I’ll meet you after dark, show me the places where the others gave you scars”

I absolutely love this for Scorpio. And I can hear you screaming for no body, no crime, but I’d like to give Scorpio the emotional depth they deserve rather than just “I suspect my friend’s asshole husband killed her so I will exact my vengeance”. Our running theme for Scorpio seems to be love as a religious experience - willow paints it as an almost otherworldly ritual. It’s an external force pulling them towards someone that they can’t help but follow. This is not “I fancy you”. It’s “I’m drawn to you in ways I can’t explain, I want to know all of your deepest darkest secrets, you have altered the course of my entire life.”

The setting and characters of this song are almost blindingly Sagittarian - two wanderers who make their own rules, refuse to be pinned down, and drift through life from one experience to the next. Then somehow, against all odds, they fall in love. Sagittarius is frequently mislabelled as commitment-phobic, when really, they’re wary of anything that feels like a cage. They don’t necessarily fear commitment, they fear losing themselves within it. This song represents the kind of relationship Sagittarius actually wants - someone who understands their need for freedom, doesn’t try to tame them, and is willing to keep moving alongside them.

This song forms a really continuous narrative from our folklore pick - what happens when it turns out all the effort they’ve been putting in was for nothing? Saturn teaches them a big lesson here - love isn’t a thing you can earn. And that can really mess with their heads. We’ve talked a little about Aquarius and the values that help them make sense of the world. They’re not detached because they’re unemotional, it’s just that by the time everyone else realises what’s going on, Aquarius has been internally contemplating the same thing for months and has already made a decision about it. Their fixed nature means that once they’ve reached a conclusion, changing their mind can be incredibly difficult.

Pisces - coney island “Will you forgive my soul when you're too wise to trust me and too old to care?”

Again we’ve ended on the final track of the album (not including the bonus tracks) for Pisces and it just feels right. Depending on the tone you get from the song it can either be bitingly sarcastic or, if we look at it from a Piscean point of view, a bittersweet reflection on a failing relationship. It’s quietly melancholy rather than angry - a collection of memories and stories that the narrator wanders through. It feels like a hazy dream sequence with no linear timeline or structure, which is very representative of their planetary ruler, Neptune. We couldn’t have ended on a more different track to our opening song - Aries doesn’t need someone else’s closure but Pisces finishes our list by sitting with the memories and asking for forgiveness anyway.

Aries - The Great War “There's no morning glory, it was war it wasn't fair, and we will never go back to that bloodshed, crimson clover”

Aries is ruled by Mars which is the planet of war, so yes this seemed like a glaringly obvious pick. But let’s move past the “Aries likes to fight” generalisation and look a little closer. The Great War details a relationship fraught with conflict. Aries doesn’t usually trust easily, despite appearing the opposite on the surface, so when something threatens them, they tend to meet that threat with direct confrontation, even if that results in war. The subsequent character arc is beautiful for a healed Aries - it’s the realisation that the biggest enemy can sometimes be themselves. This is an Aries that has been through the battle and is choosing peace without losing their fire.

Taurus - Sweet Nothing “And the voices that implore, you should be doing more, to you I can admit that I'm just too soft for all of it”

With this project I’ve been trying to build a consistent narrative for each sign and also challenge some of the stereotypes, so Sweet Nothing felt like a seamless choice for Taurus. Again, we move away from Taurus being reduced to “they like nice things”. They want stability, emotional security, and a relationship where they don’t have to constantly prove their worth. Their reputation for stubbornness often hides a deeply gentle and sensual person (they are ruled by Venus, after all). This song also links beautifully to our folklore pick for Taurus because it asks the same question - can they simply exist around someone and still be loved?

Gemini - Hits Different “Bet I could still melt your world, argumentative, antithetical dream girl”

This entire album could’ve been written by Mercury so I went through about five choices before settling on this for Gemini. It follows on nicely from our last few choices, since it feels like being inside someone’s mind that’s firing in a million different directions at once at an impossible speed. This song is full of some of Taylor’s most linguistically playful lyrics which is very representative of Gemini’s love of witty conversation and clever turns of phrase. They’re never shy about poking fun at themselves either, reminding us that they’re in on the joke even when they’re hurting - humour is a classic Gemini coping mechanism and Hits Different is arguably one of Taylor’s funniest songs.

Cancer - Maroon “And I wake with your memory over me, that’s a real fucking legacy to leave”

We’re continuing to prove the interconnected-ness of folklore + evermore by assigning Cancer another song that pieces together a relationship (in this case, the breakup of one) through fragments of memories. We’re building on Cancer anchoring memories to tangible objects and places - the t-shirt, the wine, telephones, New York, carnations, roses. It’s the preservation of a thousand different little things and moments that made up the relationship - a very lunar concept. Although the love has turned from a bright, vibrant red to a darker, faded maroon, Cancer remembers it all and carries it with them years later.

Leo - Bejeweled “I made you my world, have you heard I can reclaim the land? And I miss you, but I miss sparkling”

Okay I couldn’t not pick this for Leo. But rather than settle on “give Leo the flashiest song”, let’s look past Bejeweled’s glittery synth-pop exterior and look at the underlying themes. We’ve built a story for Leo around how much they know their own worth. What happens when someone takes advantage of their incredible compassion and generosity? They’re eventually going to make sure they remind you of their worth. They get stereotyped as egotistical, but Bejeweled isn’t them saying “I’m better than you”, it’s them reclaiming their confidence and reminding us you can no more ask a diamond to stop sparkling than you could ask the sun to stop shining.

Virgo - Anti-Hero “I’ll stare directly in the sun but never in the mirror, it must be exhausting always rooting for the anti-hero”

Virgo and Gemini share a planetary ruler so I also went through a couple of options for them (and they fought over a lot of the same songs for a while there). If right where you left me is Virgo quietly analysing a situation, Anti-Hero is them quietly analysing themselves. It’s an existential spiral. At 3am. They have a reputation for being perfectionists but it’s not because they’re uptight, it’s because they care so deeply and often have a deep desire to fix things. And this song is not necessarily completely self-blaming, there’s that signature mercurial wit and sarcasm that Virgos embody so well.

Libra - Paris “Stumbled down pretend alleyways, cheap wine, make believe it's champagne, I was taken by the view”

I originally had a completely different song lined up for Libra, but the more I thought about it, this seemed like the perfect pick for them. Paris is essentially someone romanticising life for three minutes straight, and there’s no sign that does that quite like a Libra. It’s not let’s actually go to Paris, it’s let’s create the feeling of Paris wherever we are. One of their biggest stereotypes is that they’re fake, which is an incredibly shallow interpretation - ok sure, they want to pretend they’re in Paris and drink cheap wine and call it champagne, but they’re acknowledging it’s a pretence and choosing to create something beautiful for someone anyway.

Scorpio - Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve “If clarity's in death, then why won't this die? Years of tearing down our banners, you and I”

The last few picks for this sign are doing a lot of heavy lifting work for the argument that Taylor’s rising sign is Scorpio - WCS is no exception. Let’s talk about it. Their modern planetary ruler is Pluto, which rules transformation, power, and rebirth. And again, we’re not just assigning Scorpio one of the darkest songs, we’re assigning them the song that asks, what did this dark experience turn me into? What can I reclaim from this? Scorpio’s shadow side can have them replaying the past constantly and becoming fixated on getting answers but it’s because they are so emotionally perceptive that they need to know the full truth of a situation before they can accept it and reclaim what they’ve lost.

Sagittarius - Karma “Ask me why so many fade, but I'm still here”

Sagittarius’ ruling planet is Jupiter, who is responsible for luck, higher truths and optimism (among other things). This encourages them to often look at the bigger picture of things. Sagittarius isn’t usually interested in revenge, and they don’t tend to like manipulation or hidden agendas. Even when they’ve been hurt, their instincts are generally to learn from the experience and then move forward - they’re not one to stay stuck in someone else’s story because they’re too busy living their best life and trusting that the universe has got it handled. Karma really delivers that message with Sagittarius’ signature blend of blunt honesty and humour.

Capricorn - You’re On Your Own, Kid “Cause there were pages turned with the bridges burned, everything you lose is a step you take”

Our last few picks for Capricorn have been heavy on the emotional damage, but that now means the most iconic song on Midnights belongs to them. We’ve talked about their planetary ruler (Saturn) before and how it governs responsibility, discipline and hard work. It also rules over time and aging, and YOYOK is very much a coming-of-age lesson. Capricorns are so often reduced to the stereotype of ambitious, or only caring about success, but what they’re really about is achievements through experience. After all their this-is-me-trying moments and their tolerate-it struggles, every painful situation they’ve been through becomes part of who they are because they were already enough to begin with. That is the quintessential Saturnian lesson.

We’ve been trying to dismantle some of the stereotypes throughout this series, and this pick can help us do that for Aquarius. They’re not weird or quirky, they just highly value independent thinking. They’re not detached, they’re just incredibly gifted at expressing their feelings through ideas and concepts rather than big displays of emotion. They’re also not usually interested in hero worship, they don’t want people to all think the same thing. Dear Reader is them saying look, I don’t have all the answers either, but I can empower you to think for yourself. Question authority, question advice, even mine. This song is incredibly, wonderfully paradoxical, just like Aquarius themselves.

Pisces’ modern planetary ruler is Neptune, which governs dreams, imagination and the subconscious. There’s no song on Midnights that feels like a dream sequence more than Snow On The Beach. It blurs the lines between reality and fantasy, which is where Pisces thrives. They don’t really need things to make logical sense, this is a love that is happening around them and they’re just in awe of it. This song captures that quintessential childlike Pisces wonder, and what’s beautiful is that Pisces still remains open to that wonder and amazement even if they’ve been disappointed before.

This is not Aries being angry or reckless (ok it is a little bit), this is Aries once again refusing to let other people dictate the terms of their life. Yes, Mars is aggression, but more than that, it’s personal agency. Aries would much rather have the chance to make their own decisions and deal with whatever subsequent fallout than have someone make them for them. They’re not really in the habit of asking for permission for things, and they rarely ask for forgiveness afterwards for that matter. And you know, sometimes when everyone around us is saying no, that just makes us want to do the thing even more.

Taurus - Guilty As Sin? “If it's make believe, why does it feel like a vow we’ll both uphold somehow?”

This song is absolutely dripping with Venusian hedonism. Venus is the planet of desire and you could probably sum up this entire song with that single word. Earth signs often feel their emotions physically - there are no real convoluted metaphors here (except maybe the bridge), and even though the whole song is very much a fantasy, everything is described in a very physical way. The fantasy is also worth nothing, as Taurus can move incredibly slowly in love, and this song sits right in the moment before something actually happens - it even luxuriates in it. It’s not loud, but it’s persistent and sensual - Taurus to a tee.

Gemini - The Tortured Poets Department “Everyone we know understands why it's meant to be, ‘cause we're crazy”

We’ve talked about Gemini’s affinity for conversation before, and the title track is no exception. It’s like eavesdropping on two people flirting through conversation for nearly five minutes - there’s niche references, inside jokes, common interests… and that’s often the quickest way to Gemini’s heart. They get stereotyped as duplicitous but this isn’t usually the case, they’re just so adaptable and have minds sharp enough to keep up with multiple topics at once. This track switches between sarcasm, flirting, banter, melancholy and sincerity so often that it would give almost any other sign whiplash.

Cancer - The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived “And in plain sight you hid, but you are what you did, and I'll forget you but I'll never forgive the smallest man who ever lived”

Oh lord. After giving them so many beautiful emotional songs about love, now we’re getting into vengeful Cancer. As a sign ruled by the moon, they’re all about emotional safety, and when someone betrays their trust and threatens that, the claws come out and they’re ready to crush something. Cancers have a powerful emotional memory, and this song is an itemised list of evidence straight from their library of past hurts. Sure, they’re generally forgiving, but if you really push them too far, their instinct is going to be to cut you off completely to protect themselves.

Leo - I Can Do It With A Broken Heart “Lights, camera, bitch smile, even when you wanna die”

This song frequently gets assigned to Capricorn but hear me out. I Can Do It With A Broken Heart is all about performance, and nobody does that better than a Leo. Unless you’re in their inner circle, Leos aren’t even going to admit to you that they’re struggling. This is very much the shadow side of their pride - sometimes they’re just so good at the performance that people don’t see what’s going on underneath. This song also calls back nicely to our Red pick, The Lucky One. Leos are always going to keep shining, even if it costs them to do so.

Virgo - My Boy Only Breaks His Favourite Toys “Cause it fit too right, puzzle pieces in the dead of night, should’ve known it was a matter of time”

I love this pick for Virgo. We’ve talked extensively about Virgos wanting to understand why things happen, and that’s exactly what this entire song is. They’re identifying patterns, replaying conversations, examining motivations… and wrapping it all up in a very elegant, very Mercurial metaphor. We’ve also talked about their reputation for wanting to fix things, because if they can just understand the problem then maybe they can come up with the perfect solution. This song is especially heartbreaking for them because sometimes things, or people, just can’t be fixed.

Libra - Fresh Out The Slammer “Now pretty baby, I'm running back home to you, fresh out the slammer I know who my first call will be to”

I think this is going to be a divisive choice for Libra. They frequently get assigned something more obviously romantic, but let’s get into it (we’re also going to ignore who this song is speculatively about and look at from a purely astrology point of view). This is Libra walking away from a toxic relationship and considering what kind of love they actually deserve. Libras often define themselves through partnership, and when a relationship becomes confining, they often seek a way to restore the balance and sometimes that’s through walking away. They can be stereotyped as always wanting to be with someone, but I think here they’re actually choosing something hopeful and refusing to lose their belief in love. They’re not saying romance is completely dead, rather that they’ve survived something challenging, and now their heart is free to choose what they want.

Scorpio - Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me? “Well you should be, ‘cause you lured me, and you hurt me, and you taught me, you caged me then you called me crazy”

Ah the female rage song. Part of me was tempted to give this to Aries, but inevitably it was always going to be Scorpio. One of our running themes for them has been about reclaiming their power, and this song is the poster child for that. This is a Scorpio who has been belittled, humiliated and betrayed, and instead of breaking, they have come out the other side more powerful than ever. And let’s not forget that Scorpio is a water sign, so they’re absolutely going to carry past hurts with them. But where Cancer withdraws and Pisces escapes, Scorpio transforms.

Sagittarius - Florida!!! “I need to forget, so take me to Florida, I've got some regrets, I'll bury them in Florida”

Again, we’re not simply assigning Sagittarius the song about travelling - let’s talk about what Sagittarius is actually looking for. Jupiter is the planet of expansion - if Sagittarius feels that their life is too small or confining, it can make them incredibly restless. Florida!!! really conveys that instinct to change your surroundings in the hope that a new perspective, new experience, or new location might change everything else too. It isn’t necessarily avoidance, sometimes Sagittarius just genuinely believes there’s something better waiting somewhere beyond the horizon.

Capricorn - So Long, London “Just how low did you think I'd go before I'd self-implode, before I'd have to go be free?”

Ok so we’re back to emotionally damaging the Capricorns, cool. Our themes for Capricorn so far have been very centred around endurance and resilience - and they can withstand more things than most. But there’s the slow, heartbreaking final realisation that they’ve been carrying this relationship alone. They acknowledge they’ve done everything they could to save things and now it’s time to let it go - this is a very evolved Capricorn lesson. The point isn’t the failure of the relationship, it’s the wisdom to know that it didn’t fail because they stopped loving, and it isn’t theirs to carry anymore.

Aquarius - Down Bad “Show me that this world is bigger than us, then sent me back where I came from”

There’s a longstanding stereotype of Aquarius being the alien of the zodiac, so let’s do what we do best and look at what that actually means here. Down Bad details a relationship so extraordinary that when it breaks down the narrator is confronted with having to return to the ordinary. Which Aquarius tends to rebel against. Also when they feel deeply, they often express those feelings through complex thought, and Down Bad is an entire song trying to rationalise an impossible feeling through a very Aquarian metaphor. Was it real? Why did it happen? How do I explain this abduction to someone who hasn’t experienced this? And if you make an Aquarius cry in public, you probably deserve every ounce of the fuck-you they’re going to give you.

Pisces - loml “I wish I could un-recall how we almost had it all”

It’s about time I started bullying another sign other than Caps and Virgos. This isn’t just Pisces mourning a person, this is Pisces mourning something they truly believed in. Pisces are the sign most associated with soulmates, and that’s because they usually fall in love with the entire universe they build around someone as much as the person themselves. loml is what happens when that universe, that belief system collapses. And they wish they could let it go but they often hold on to the version of the person they wanted long after the breakdown. The most heartbreaking lesson for Pisces here is that the fantasy they wanted and believed in was real, until it wasn’t.

Aries - Cassandra “When it's burn the bitch they're shrieking, when the truth comes out, it's quiet”

You know by now how much I love an unconventional choice, so let’s get right into it. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, the pioneer. While not prophetic in the mythical sense, they have very strong instincts and intuition, coupled with the courage to speak out about or act on bold truths long before anyone else. More than that, they won’t stop when people disagree with them or try and shut them down, even if no one is listening. It’s the side of Aries that tends to get overlooked - they’re going to take the risk and say the thing, even if it means standing alone to do it. And there’s no sign that quite enjoys saying “I told you so” more than Aries.

Taurus - The Prophecy “Change the prophecy, don’t want money, just someone who wants my company”

This is quite the devastating penultimate conclusion to our Taurus arc. Throughout it all, all they’ve been asking is, can I please just have something that lasts? It also reinforces our challenge to the stereotype that Taurus is materialistic. They’re not chasing fame, money or glory, just something consistent and secure. They’re not usually the type to believe in fate, but The Prophecy is what happens when nothing tangible they’ve done so far has worked. And throughout it all they’re incredibly resilient - a lesser woman would’ve lost hope… but not Taurus.

Gemini - imgonnagetyouback “Told my friends I hate you but I love you just the same, pick your poison babe, I’m poison either way”

One of my favourite choices for Gemini across this entire project - this song is absolutely full of the same sharp wordplay and clever lyricism as some of our previous picks - and here it even comes across as almost effortless. Even the title itself has two meanings. Throughout the song, the narrator seems like they’re wrestling with trying to decide what to do, but this is really more them entertaining a million different possibilities all at once, which is a very Gemini trait. They’re not inconsistent or flaky, they’re just incredibly adaptable. And they still manage to make a joke at their own expense, too.

Cancer - Peter “Forgive me Peter, please know that I tried to hold on to the days when you were mine”

If our main album pick explored Cancer’s vengeful side, we’re going back to our emotional memory roots with our Anthology choice. The entire song is Cancer living with the memories of a person they love. I’ve mentioned before that their planetary ruler governs childhood, and the fact this song uses a character whose entire mythology is constructed around childhood as a metaphor is verrrry Cancer-coded. Also, they don’t tend to chase people in relationships, and they don’t particularly enjoy waiting, but once someone takes up space in their heart they don’t let them go easily, especially if that person made them a promise. Cancer will keep that promise long after the other person has forgotten it, even if they eventually have to turn out the light.

Leo - The Albatross “And when that sky rains fire on you and you're persona non grata, I'll tell you how I've been there too”

I get it, this doesn’t look like a very Leo song on paper. But (say it with me) hear me out! Leos are very aware of other people’s perception of them, and that’s what The Albatross really boils down to. This gets miscast as ego for them, but it’s really about identity. Leo understands more than most that sometimes you’re judged for what you represent rather than what you’ve done or who you are. There’s a very dignified Leo kind of confidence here too, it says people can believe what they want about me, but I know who I am. This is Leo living authentically despite the myth someone else has created about them.

Virgo - How Did It End? “It's happening again, how did it end? I can't pretend like I understand… how did it end?”

Our main album pick saw Virgo identifying the cause of a relationship breakdown, so for maximum emotional damage let’s give them the song where they just can’t make sense of what happened. I find it fascinating to contrast this with Gemini since they share the same planetary ruler. Gemini = outward possibilities, Virgo = inward analysis. This is Virgo trying to find an answer for, or quite literally conduct a post-mortem on, something that is ultimately unanswerable. So where does that leave them? Having a breakdown to the bridge at 3am, probably.

Libra - The Manuscript “Now and then I reread the manuscript, but the story isn’t mine anymore”

I absolutely love this pick for Libra. Again this is probably going to be an unexpected choice, but let’s talk about it. The Manuscript takes raw heartbreak and turns it into a beautifully curated narrative. Venus rules over art, beauty and aesthetics, so taking pain they’ve experienced and turning it into an artistic gift that can be shared is very Libra. We’ve also been talking about their inherent need for balance. This song takes past relationships, acknowledges them, and ends with no bitterness or longing. There’s just a quiet acceptance before moving on - the emotional scales can finally settle.

Scorpio - The Black Dog “Now I want to sell my house and set fire to all my clothes, and hire a priest to come and exorcise my demons”

If our main album choice was Scorpio after transformation, The Black Dog is Scorpio before the transformation. Pluto, their modern planetary ruler, governs secrets, so they tend to be incredibly private - the entire song sounds like a diary entry we’re not supposed to be reading. They’re also often stereotyped as intense or obsessive, and while that’s how the song comes across on the surface, we can link this back to Scorpio’s tendency to feel absolutely everything so deeply. They don’t love halfway, so when a relationship breaks down they’re going to question everything. And I know every single Scorpio felt that “I hope it’s SHITTY in The Black Dog” in their soul.

Sagittarius - The Bolter “But none of it is changing, that the chariot is waiting, hearts are hers for the breaking, there’s escape in escaping”

This is a song with really similar themes to our main album choice, so we’re building on the lore here. We could easily write The Bolter off as a song about commitment issues, but if we look at it through a Sagittarius lens it becomes about freedom as a core identity. The narrator isn’t leaving because she likes hurting people, it’s because staying feels like she’s losing herself. There’s a little bit of humorous self-awareness in there too, and Sagittarius won’t shy away from making a joke about themselves. Ultimately it’s a very Sagittarian refusal to settle for one life, or one chosen path.

Capricorn - thanK you aIMee “All that time you were throwing punches I was building something, and I couldn't wait to show you it was real”

Saturn is the planet of life lessons, and that’s basically the core message of thanK you aIMee. Capricorn takes the challenges and hard situations life deals them, and turns them into something they can build on. This isn’t so much a revenge song as Capricorn saying, you hurt me, but look what it helped me to achieve. There’s no immediate gratification here either, Caps understand more than most that sometimes, those achievements take time. And we’re not erasing or romanticising the pain it took to get there - this is Capricorn saying, I wouldn’t have chosen this, but this has shaped the person I’ve become.

Aquarius - Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus “If you wanna break my cold, cold heart just say I loved you the way that you were”

This song is a three and half minute observation of a decade long relationship that also gets hung up on the what-ifs - immediately this flagged it for me as a very Aquarian song. It’s quietly devastating, so on the surface it’s got that very stereotypical Aquarian cold detachment, but the bridge especially leans into the “processing strong emotions through deep thoughts” idea that we’ve explored before for them. This song takes an extremely personal experience and expands it into something that’s almost an existential thesis on timings and hypotheticals - which is an incredibly Aquarian way to view the world.

Pisces - I Hate It Here “I hate it here so I will go to lunar valleys in my mind, when they found a better planet only the gentle survived”

I think this is one of the strongest Pisces-coded songs across Taylor’s entire discography. Let’s talk about it. This is a narrator who is deeply unsatisfied with their reality, so they retreat to fantasy worlds inside their imagination. That’s a textbook definition of Pisces. And they’re not dissatisfied with life because they think they’re better than it, it’s because they tend to yearn for something more gentle, or softer, or kinder than what reality can give them. They don’t escape into a fantasy world because they’re weak, they’re looking for a world where their soul can feel at home, and that’s so profoundly Piscean.

Throughout our Gemini picks, we’ve heavily focused on their endless love of communication, and this song is no exception. This might be one of Taylor’s most playful tracks. It deconstructs superstitions - something they don’t tend to believe in - and reframes them in a very mischievous, unmistakably Mercurial way. Cancer’s planetary ruler governs the home - Honey is absolutely full of that very Cancerian flavour of domesticity. The archetype of the eldest daughter fits earth signs almost perfectly. Let’s look at why Virgo won out for this particular track 5. Eldest Daughter is one of Taylor’s most chronically self-aware songs, and there’s nobody that does self-awareness quite like Virgo. There’s also lots of nostalgia and memory here, which you initially think would go to Cancer, but it’s the specific details and observations that lead this more towards Virgo - it’s a more Mercurial way of remembering. Virgos also tend to use hyper-competency as a shield for their emotional vulnerability - which makes the bridge of this song the perfect ending for our Virgo arc.

This is a reeeal sensual, Venusian track. I’ve mentioned previously how Venus governs beauty and art, and this song is rife with aesthetic, beautiful imagery. Libra wins the edge over Taurus here (same planetary ruler) for me because of our overarching theme of balance - it’s wanting a real, true love and having to balance that with constantly being in the spotlight of fame. Elizabeth Taylor herself is regarded as an icon of timeless elegance, effortless charm and legendary love - and that reads like the ultimate Libra manifesto.

I love this for Sagittarius. Our TTPD/Anthology picks centred around them leaving toxic situations, and Opalite is what happens when they finally find what they’re looking for. Good fortune is a key cornerstone of Jupiter’s realm and the shift from an onyx night to an opalite sky perfectly mirrors that inherent optimism that most Sagittarius seem to embody. They have an almost uncanny ability to walk through darkness and choose instead to learn from it, and trust that the next chapter will be better than the last. A very fitting conclusion for Sagittarius.

But if you hurt and betray them? Take credit for their work? They’re not going to scream and cry about it because that’s not a practical investment for their time. Instead they’ll probably devise a swift, strategic punishment then cut you off completely. At the end of our Capricorn story, the empire belongs to them.

This one had to sit with me for a while, but hear me out. Aquarius is often stereotyped as the outsider of the zodiac, but this isn’t because they’re weird, or quirky - it’s because they possess such strong inherent values that they often reject social norms and the expected path. Even the song title alone - Ophelia’s story as a character has already been written, Aquarius applies the story to their own life then challenges the ending and completely rewrites it. The idea of someone sitting alone in a tower swearing loyalty only to themselves is also a very Aquarian image. But then someone “saves” them by way of seeing them for their true authentic self? There’s hardly anything that matches the feeling of being understood by someone else for Aquarius.
