James rolled his eyes, but an amused smirk found its way to his lips regardless. The wizard batted Sirius’ hand away gently, more laughter leaving his lips. “Wow. You’re so in love with me.” He said, joking.

“Oh, you wish. Let’s be honest this would never work anyway. There’s not enough room in this relationship for both of our egos.” Sirius stated with a dramatic sigh.

It was not her average escapade, however she was beginning to look forward to seeing how it would go. She had been pleased to hear it was not a stereotypical date, instead they were hiring a paddle boat and seeing where it took them. She felt much more at ease with this, but also felt somewhat nervous to see who arrived. Though it did somewhat make her nervous having no control of who she met, though there was some essence of fun about it. She had to let it be. She put on a light blue dress, shoes to match and had her hair down loosely. She tugged a cardigan over her arms to keep the chill out, and vacated her home. She soon arrived at the date, standing by the dock, waiting for her date to appear.

Sirius wasn’t nervous about the blind date though he’d never really been one to worry about things out of his control, and anyway, he was pretty good at socialising which meant he was hardly ever involved in an awkward conversation. So, unlike many of the others that he’d heard about he was quite looking forward to the date. He found himself wondering of all the possible people his date could be as he made his way to the park. Apparently, they were to go on one of those muggle paddle boats on the lake. Sirius had never been on anything like it before so it could be an interesting day. A familiar brunette soon came into his eyesight as he began to approach the dock. Smiling he gave her a wave. “Ahhh I’ll be damned if it isn’t Miss Lucky Ducky.” He stated greeting her as he picked her hand up and placed a kiss on her knuckles.

James almost had trouble hiding the amusement from the other’s words. However, he managed to keep the smile off his lips for the moment. “Don’t worry, dear.” He began, stepping forward and placing a hand on his friend’s cheek. “I will stay with you regardless of your delusion. We’ll find a way to make it work.” The smile found its way to his lips now and a light laugh filled the small space between them as he dropped his hand.

The smirk fell from the male’s lips at his friend’s words. “No, no, no, I will find a way to make it work with your delusions Prongs.” He replied reaching up placing a hand over James’ own hand before breaking out into a grin at the wizard’s laughter.

Though he was very aware that Sirius had many a person fawning over him at any given time, so perhaps it lost impact. “Oh Pads, you’ve seen the way they look at me, right? With absolute adoration.” He straightened up. “It’s definitely me they’d be heartbroken about.”

“Well, my dearest this is quite awkward but I think you’ll find I was probably standing behind you on those occasions and it was actually me they were looking at like that. It’s an easy mistake, of course, I mean I’m sure they’d be a little torn that you weren’t available either but their heartbreak would probably be over me.” He gave a shrug scratching the back of his neck as if he felt awkward.

A smile grew on James’ faces at Sirius’ comment. Just as he was about to agree with taking on the ministry, the idea of Sirius flying him around the town personally sounded a lot more interesting. He hopped on his broom – which was really less of a hop than it usually was and instead was more along the lines of sticking it between his legs. “Well – I’m waiting.”

Sirius’ mouth dropped open taken off guard, of course, he should have expected it, after all, he didn’t do anything Sirius wouldn’t have done. Closing his mouth, the wizard gave a nod before approaching the broom trying to work out the best way to go about lifting the broom. Placing a hand at each end Sirius lifted the broom, pausing slightly as he adjusted his grip gaining enough strength to lift the broom high enough, just and just above his head. “You ready for your fly?” He asked smiling through gritted teeth before he started walking. “I must admit Prongs, you’re a lot heavier than you look.”
