WEMMBU FARLANDs. WEMMBU FARLANDS. WEMMBU FARLANDS.
I won’t lie and say it did not feel good to be affirmed in the stance that Egg is Wemmbu’s moral conscious. People see Egg’s want for the mercy and goodness to be Wemmbu’s *choice*, and confuse it for him not desiring him to be good at all.
Confronting Parrot was brilliantly executed, and the entire episode I was on edge wondering if Wemmbu would relapse so quickly and fall right back into his toxic relationship with destruction and violence. I didn’t think Parrot would die, but by choosing violence again, Wemmbu would be damning zirself to a slow and painful death. One where they eventually chase away anyone who care for them and have no way of escaping. But, this didn’t happen! And that is precisely the role Egg plays, a witness.
Wemmbu and anonymity were explored in an entire arc. There is much power to be wielded when one dawns a mask, socially and politically. And here, Egg denies him that, and makes him consider the weight of his actions. It’s brilliant!
I have so many thoughts about Wemmbu’s most recent video, but one of my favorite things about it was the clear difference in hard power (Wemmbu) and soft power (Parrot), and how they both have their limitations.
Thinking about how parrot has repressed his memories after wifies died in paragon and how time skipped an undisclosed amount of time to parrot with no items/echest at spawn.
Like that plot hole is so interesting I wonder if we’ll learn anything about that whenever Theo learns about wifies
I’ll be honest, Parrot’s POV is the one I know the least about. But, this sounds really interesting! I’ve read a bit about the amnesia plot there, and definitely think it’ll be addressed with the potentiality of revival or server restarting technology. I do think generally there will be a couple more arcs before there is a major, world resetting event. Or, it could be the finale of Kings Arc, though I think that is less likely. I’m confident that before the reset that the memory loss will be addressed, and the repression will be unraveled.
The length of this Wemmbu (and by extension maybe spoke oml that episode will destroy me.) content gap has to be purposefull right? It’s not just “because he’s on holiday”.
Wemmbu is an incredibly intentional creator, I mean they all are. They have all shown that they have a plan for at least a year’s worth of content, and for the scale of UnstableSMP… I feel like there has to be another reason he hasn’t uploaded at all this year.
I mean there are so many moving pieces with Unstable that if he were going on this lengthy of a holiday, I think he would try to pre-record. Not to mention, thanks to Zam we know it doesn’t take him that long to edit, so something is definitely going on.
Even thinking about it within the narrative, the next episode has to be a major one for Wemmbu’s character as it marks the first full episode of his “new character”. The first full episode where he has tried all of his old methods, going in blind, causing chaos, using force, and they have failed. And it is coming after he met someone who rewarded him for being merciful, a quality that has only ever been treated as weakness by other players.
Honestly, the more I think about Wemmbu’s character arc, the less I believe that he will kill Lettuce, I am not sure if the arc is leading to Lettuce’s death at all.
I need more UU!Mutiny, they were given back and then taken from us so quick. There is so much more they need to say before Wemmbu’s character arc can really move on in my opinion. He can choose to be merciful, but I do not believe that violence will stop being his instinct until he confronts the person who branded it on him in the first place. He has to face the crown, not how they did in the prison, where choice and raw honesty were obstructed by necessity and a need for freedom.
Wemmbu, the one who holds pieces of every civilization he’s been a part of, who has been to the depths of the Underworld and the heights of Sky Civilizations, who conquered the Farlands and lived to tell the tale, needs to face Zam and be honest about all the places where he is still vulnerable because of how he betrayed him. Not surface level acknowledgment, raw and heavy. Honestly, would not mind an entire episode where it is the two of them with a battle or conflict in the background for pacing, I think their relationship at this point demands it.
Would it be crazy to think that the current arcs are leading to the end of the current server and a potential restart? This probably is unlikely but idk
I have seen some of the theories and while they are compelling, they seem increasingly unlikely considering how old the server is now that we are getting more pre-protags lore. Either direction the story goes, I hope they do not go the amnesia route, as I am really enjoying the space all of their characters are in right now and want to see where their development goes next.
The potential for imperial fire reuniting soon is so beautiful bc the hints in Flames vid that Mane is coming back (mysterious new weapon, manepear theme at the end, also some other old characters reappearing) and in Wemmbu’s vid (getting a spear and having to learn how to use it better…) are heavily implying that
Dynamics wise it’d be interesting bc Wemmbu and Manes last interaction wasn’t the greatest and idk how Flame would react to seeing Mane after so long; especially after essentially being abandoned by him. Not even to mention whatever Wemmbu and Flame have going on with their friendly rivalry.
Also Wemmbu seems to want to rescue Jaden and save pirate civ (what’s left of it at the very least) and I’m curious how Flame would react to that.
I need them! Honestly, I don’t know how Flame would react to Wemmbu, Jaden, and the pirates, as the friendship between him and Wemmbu seems to be heavily one-sided with Flame taking their rivalry a lot more personally than Wemmbu does. In a sense, they might have to align again out of necessity, something that I could see Manepear, even with his own feelings towards Wemmbu pointing out.
I can imagine that Lettuce and The Law will be doubling their efforts after this defeat, especially now that Deputy Ace has played his hand and will not be able to impede in the same way. Or, maybe this splits The Law and further fractures them. Either way, I don’t think Flame or Wemmbu alone have the firepower to take down The Law as it stands.
I’m so excited for Imperial Flame reunion though, need Wemmbu to call him out for how dishonorable the way he won their most recent fight was. His entire thing is skill and honor, and yet, he sneak attacked Wemmbu after they had fought a thousand players. Come on now…
// UU SPOILERS
There is something so beautiful about Wemmbu’s elytra and maces being repaired only after he chose mercy. The heat of battle and chaos of conquest could not restore him, but the waters of compassion washed away his sins. Mercy gave him back his freedom (elytra), his fire (maces), and his security (Netherite armor).
// UU SPOILERS
Wemmbu hesitating to choose violence and go against his nature, thinking of all the ways chaos has scorned him. THE BOY WHO LEARNED!
The fandom doing the suffering olympics with Unstable Universe protagonists is so funny, because none of them are doing well right now. The server, in of itself, isn’t in a good space and hasn’t been since The Mafia. There are even arguments to be made before that, but that is the major turning point that separates:
Unstable Universe (BM): A time of relative ease and access to resources, a server still plagued by anarchy but without its long lasting effects.
Unstable Universe (AM): A time marked by the consequences of anarchy, wars, and dictators, without that same ease or access to resources.
UU!Spoke is self-destructing and becoming a person he never wanted to be to desperately try to hold onto what he has left. UU!Flame is completely alone, trying desperately to prove to himself that he is still the strongest so that he can wipe out the law and finally have peace. UU!Wemmbu is being hounded by the law after being repeatedly scorned by people he still calls friend (i.e Flame!) and is completely strapped for resources. UU!Parrot is dealing with his invisibility PTSD while trying to run for president to save the server.
They’ve all placed the weight of entire worlds on their backs! They’re all navigating complex traumas, emotions, and baggage. Suffering isn’t a competition! Especially when you take a step back and realize that all of their suffer g is interlinked!
Havoc duo or something I really am milking the Spoke vid for poetry, aren’t I?

Idk if this is just apart of the shift in style in uu vids, but I’ve noticed a lot less narration in spoke POV. When there is narration now it’s usually like his inner monologue, focusing on his thoughts/reasoning rather than summarizing his actions like previous videos in this season.
Spoke is a very intentional creator from what I’ve seen, so I doubt he’s change the style without somewhat considering the implications of it. But even if he did, we can definitely delve into the implications of that (call it a “happy accident”), because that is absolutely an intriguing shift. Honestly, I’d say that the shift is happening because Spoke is having to internally justify himself more as he does more and more rash, morally-questionable, and internally “irredeemable” things.
When I say irredeemable, I do NOT mean that his character is or will be irredeemable, that very notion is a bit silly to me. (If the Diamonds from Steven Universe can get a redemption arc, then so can uu!SpokeIsHere!) I am using it to say that the character believes he is getting closer and closer to the point of no return, rapidly approaching what he considers deplorable.
